digital cameras

Target has the HP Photosmart camera AND the HP Photosmart 7660photo printer on sale this week for a total of $178.88. It also omes with a 32MB digital media card. I bought this combo last year and I have used the camera and printer alot. You don't even need to hook the printer to your PC in order to print the photos.

:earsgirl:

Also bear in mind that any camera and printer with PictBridge standard can be linked together without the necessity of a PC.

PictBridge is a worldwide, cross-brands standard, used (so far) by Nikon, Canon, Sony, Epson and Fuji

HP uses its own standard.

I have the Kodak DX6440 and it takes great pictures I've had it since Dec. It's very user friendly.

I love my Kodak diggy cam. It is works great and is simple to use. It takes great pictures. I would recommend Kodak in a heart beat.

I have been using my new Kodak DX 6340 all weekend and love it! Short time between pictures and very easy to use. I had bought a Fugi A210 and HATED IT! Very long time between pictures and not as user friendly

I just purchased the Nikon Coolpix 4300. It's going to be delivered today. They extended the rebate till June. I however didn't get the free shipping  but from what I hear everyone loves this camera. I plan on buying an extra battery and more memory from pricewatch.com.

I just bought a Nikon Coolpix 3200 a few weeks ago and I love it. It takes terrific pictures and is very easy to use. For what it's worth, the saleskid at Best Buy tried to steer me away from Kodaks, saying that the lenses were inferior to those of Nikon, Canon, Olympus and some others because Kodak's lenses were plastic, while the others are glass. I don't know if that's true or not, or whether the difference is noticeable if you're not a professional (I'm not). But I liked the features and the price of the Nikon, so I bought it. Also got a SecureDigital memory card (256mb for the price of 128mb -- check for specials and rebates!).

That is true. The lower end Kodak use plastic lens whereas all Minolta, Canon, Nikon, even Fuji uses glass lens.

Many people like Kodak because of the colour which, in fact, is overly saturated. Also Kodak uses lesser quality codec firmware which although making it seems like it saves to the memory card faster, it's saving the pics with lower compression quality.

Not sure if Kodak uses plastic lenses,BUT, their lenses are inferior to Nikon, Canon and Olympus. Can you tell the difference, Yes, yes you can. I used to process/print digital images and I had a very difficult time with Kodak and HP. I also had a LOT of returns with the aforementioned cameras.
You will love your Coolpix, they are great cameras. The pics. in my sig are from a Coolpix 9500.

I am happy with my HP that i got on sale at time it top of the line for 99.00 regular 149.00 dollars.

The 35mm camera is not idiot proof. It is to difficult to put film in without destory the film. I have try numberous 35 mm cameras all I did was destory the film.

Before digital came out I was using a 110 camera because all I had to was drop the film in and the camera was ready to.

All I won't was something take family pictures with. Without going to school on how to work the camera.
