Digital Camera Recommendations?

the best way to make your camera stop telling you to format the memory card is.....................................

Duh!!! I did, twice. It doesn't happen all the time. It happens after I take about 60+ pictures. So, I'll put it down and stop using it since I don't want to chance losing my shots. Then, an hour later, it's magically fine!!! So, I have re-formatted it for the third time. We'll see if that works. I still think I just need a new camera....at least that's my story for my dh!!!

My Minolta bodies and lenses are older, I've got an XG-7 and a X-700. I'm not sure the XG-7 even works anymore. I haven't used either in several years. None of the lenses for those camera's will work with the Maxxum digitals.

I specialize in concert photography and promotional photo's for bands.

I shot Seether and Audioslave a few nights ago. This weekend I'll be taking photo's of Theory of a Deadman and Silvertide. Next week I've got Breaking Benjamin and Smile Empty Soul, and then 3 Doors Down, Shinedown, and Alter Bridge. Busy couple of weeks, but two of the bands I enjoy working with the msot are in that pile, so I'm looking forward to it.

wow my first slr was an xg-7...nice camera... I sold the entire outfit when I bought my first 9000 Maxxum, the I added another 9000 so I wouldn't have to change lenses....LOL

then I picked up a 7000i and a 800si one month before going digital bought the A2 so I wouldn't have to carry a ton of stuff...have it with me 24/7.......I sold the 7000i without ever using it...and have never loaded film in the 800si
will eventually sell the 9000's and the 800si to buy a 9d if they ever come out with one..

I used to shoot concert photography and promotional photo's for bands in a past life....then my divorce hit and I didn't want my ex to go after the money and my equipment so I stopped all photography. at the time I had just made connections with 2 guys that managed bands that did the east coast nightclub circuit, so whenever one of their bands was going to be in Central PA or Atlantic City they'd call me to do new photos..

I also did a shoot for Little Texas when they first made it bigtime...they are a great bunch of guys, Porter Howell's wige Angela was the singer for a band that was playing at the Hershey Lodge and Convention center, after she saw the pics I shot of them, she asked me to shoot Little Texas for her..
