digital camera for my kids HELP!

I am looking to purchase 2 identical digital cameras for my kids for the holidays. I want to stay inexpensive since I need two. The kids are 8 & 10 so I need something simple to use, durable and basic. It does NOT need great zoom but needs to take photos and have a memory card that we can use in the computer to download the photos.

Walmart has this one on sale now:
Samsung 5 MP Digimax A503 Digital Camera, Black for 112.00

They also have a Samsung 5 MP, 3X optical with a 2.4" LCD screen on sale for 89.00 on Black Friday.

Both are in my price range. Any advice on either of these posted above? Or if this is not a good name brand any advice on a digital camera in the 100.00 price range?

I think you will be fine buying something like that for kids that age. Remember to add in the cost of a camera case, memory card, and rechargeable batteries.

The technology is changing so quickly, that whatever you buy this year will be pretty obsolete in another couple years.

Because the kids are young, I would recommend getting whatever fits your budget.

I do not know that camera, but I was in my local Ritz camera store yesterday, and they had some killer deals on P&S camera that were close out models. If you have one local you might check that. A camera that is a close out could save a bunch of money and would still be good for 8 and 10 year olds.
