Digital Camara Purchase

Looking for a digital camera for my aunt.

What are some good digital camera's in the $400-$500 price range?

The one I'm seriously looking at is Canons Powershot S2 IS, is their anything camera better for less the $500?

I've found Canon to be the best value and best products available. I think you can be very comfortable with your choice.

I just purchased that model about 2 months ago, gave it a shakedown at WDW last month. If you go to the link in my signature that links to other links, the last 2 in the thread that is linked are new and shot with that camera. Also, there is quite a bit of discussion on the Photography board on it also. I lke it a lot.

You might try asking over on the photography board as well. They seem to have people who know about every camera around and what downfalls they have.

My mom and my aunt both have that camera, and they both love it! It was not out when I bought my camera, if it had been I would have bought it instead of mine.
