Hi,

Has anyone else had a problem redeeming Frequent Flyer miles on USAir? I have tried unsucessfully many times over the past 5 years to redeem my miles. Each time, I am informed that there are no Freq Flyer seats available for whatever dates I need. Needless to say, I am very frustrated and just want to redeem my miles so I never have to fly with USAir again! Just wondering if anybody else is in the same boat????

I've been able to redeem USAir miles to go to Seattle, Orlando, Calgary, and Las Vegas.

I've booked early and been flexible as needed with times and dates.

I've had a lot more luck with US Air than I ever did with Continental. In fact I think pretty much I've always been able to get the tickets I wanted at the times/dates I wanted with US.

If you've been trying to fly from Logan, try TF Green or Bradley instead. Also try Tampa as well as MCO as a destination airport. It's only about 30 minutes further in the big picture.

i love usair's ff program, and have never had any problems redeeming. did you know that you can redeem online now too? it seems to me like hey put fewer options up when you redeem online, but at least it would probably be easier than calling. :)

I've never had a problem either. How far in advance are you trying, what is your status, and are you trying for vacation times?
All this factors in.

I just booked us for next April for a trip into LAX and out of SFO, and for the first time, used my miles for a United flight. That was a big bonus, as United flies these routes non-stop from BOS.

I have redeemed miles for USAir a couple times in the past 2 or 3 years. Last year I had to change our arrival day from Saturday to Friday to get them (good excuse to add a day!). You have to be flexible and keep checking. I've seen them add FF seats to flights where there were none.

Yes, I've had problems using USAir FF miles to MCO. FF seats to MCO are very popular, and are booked quickly. Recently I lucked out using USAir FF miles on United. Since they are partners/code share they use their FF Miles on each others flights.
Good Luck!

FWIW--SWA ff program is NOT capacity controlled. A handful of blackout dates otherwise if there is a seat on the plane it's yours.

I don't have a problem redeeming US FF miles. The sooner you can book the ticket the better.
