Difficulty obtaining Planet Hollywood reservation!

I just called just now to book my DTD restaurants for Aug 24th-Aug 27th and while I managed to get Wolfgang Puck Cafe and Raglan Road with ease, the only times I was offered for Planet Hollywood was 05.00pm or 10.30pm on both the 26th and 27th of August. Has anyone else had these problems?

I'm wondering if I should bother, or maybe just choose a different restaurant. Is Planet Hollywood up to much? At the moment I have left the 26th blank as this is the day we are going to Busch Gardens so there is no way I would be back for 5pm. Anyone have any recommendations?

Thanks

I just tried to book le cellier for 6pm and the ONLY time that was avalible was 4:10!

I hope that this does not means its going to be super busy. Maybe the free dining offered to the UK and in the bounce back was more of a success than we thought!

My understanding is that Planet Hollywood does not take ressies between 6 and 10pm during the busy season. At least that is what the cm told me when I made my adrs at the 180 mark back in January. I was only offered up till 5:45pm or after 10:00 pm. I was advised they only take walkups from 6 to 10pm. Hope this helps.

I rang yesterday for 20th aug and was offered 5pm or 10:10pm so I guess the above is possible... seems likely as that i what most people are offered.

We have NEVER made a reservation for Planet Hollywood and we've eaten there every year for 5 years straight. We usually eat an early dinner or a late lunch. Be sure to try the lasagna. It is superb!

This is exactly what I was told. I booked a 5:45 ADR...which was the last available time to make an ADR. The CM told me, after that time, all of the seatings are walk up. She also told me, if you're staying at a WDW resort you will not be turned away...you will be guaranteed a table.

We had a 7:00 p.m. reservation when we ate there on Dec. 17. We made it 180 days before. If I might offer an opinion about Planet Hollywood, I would say stay far, far away from that place. The waiter was very inflexible with the Dining Plan, he told us an out and out lie about what was available, he was clumsey and spilled salsa on me and my DS. Maybe it was just that one guy that was bad but he sure spoiled dinner for us. The food was pretty dismal too. I ordered a Cobb salad that was almost inedible and I'm not picky about my food. The appetizers were greasy and the ice cream in the dessert was half melted when we got them. It was also oppressively loud. The whole place was just plain obnoxious! (But, that's just my opinion..)

(Why would you want to eat there? )

Sorry! I couldn't resist. It's nice once but really there are SO MANY better places with better service. PH is from the "we let you eat here so don't expect much" school of service. (And I have tried them in several places, there's a reason most of them have closed!)

Can't agree more. Over priced and not very good food. We walked out at our last visit because the service was so lousy. Too many other choices to put up with crappy service and bad food just for atmosphere.

We actually had a really good meal there while on the DDP. The appetizers were really good - and so was the meal (lasagna x2 and chicken fajitas). Our dessert was the best we had - very good cheesecake with strawberries.

The one in France was lovely, the food was great and so was the service. I've never had a bad meal in the WDW one either.
