We are going to WDW in late January. I'm planning to reserve Dining with an Imagineer at the Brown Derby on Wed (on the first day I'm allowed to call, at 7am). How difficult will this be? Has anyone NOT gotten a reservation for this if they called on the first day at the first hour?

I don't think I have seen many reviews of it here => not too many people do it.
I guess if you go to WDW with (small) children, this is something you don't book. It's also not cheap, and more something for real Disney fans (let's admit it, most people are not as much into Disney as the people from the DIS).

I wondered the exact same things when I wanted to book my two tours and my Spirit of Aloha dinner show.
Since the tours have limited capacity, I thought I was going to be way too late. But no, there was still availability!

Good luck getting the ADR, but I think it won't be too much of a problem!

reservation window. I have looked at taking my son to this on our next trip. I have seen 30 and 60 days mentioned for reservations prior to the dining date.

Still it doesn't hurt to ask at 180.

I really disagree with your logic.

We've done the lunch three time and have never gotten our first choice on the first day it becomes available. It has such limited seating 7 besides the the imagineer it fills up quick and depending on party size it could take just one group to fill it up
