Difficult to book in October?

It sounds like it's difficult to book in October, am I getting the right impression? We're planning to go to MNSSHP in 2004, but tickets don't go on sale until April. From people's past experience, will we have trouble getting a 1 br at any resort? Our home is BCV, but since we'll be booking around 7 months out, we're willing to go anywhere.

This year it has been a challenge for some to get BWV or BCV in late October during the F&WF. Don't know if it will be this way next year, but as you are BCV owners, you may want to take a shot at guessing the dates to book at 11 months out, if BCV is where you want to be. If it doesn't matter to you, I'd think OKW or VWL should be available for you at 7 mos. (though one never knows!).

We have OKW ressies made for 10/21 through 10/26, and are waitlisted for BCV. We did an add-on at BCV in June, which is when we booked the Oct ressie. BCV would have been our 1st choice with BWV 2nd, for the Epcot proximity. But even if the waitlist doesn't come through, we'll be happy at OKW spending fewer points for a bit more space.

Last year we also stayed at BCV for the F&WF during October, and we made our ressies in June with no problem.

We are taking family (10) to BCV on our points October 20-27. We had no problem booking at our 11 month window, but when I tried to add on April 1, I had to be waitlist, luckily it came through a few weeks ago. We are going to MNNSHP and we purchased those about 2 months ago. We also got all 10 of us in at Cinderellas castle for breakfast.

You can look at the dates from last year and this year and have a pretty good indication of the dates for next year.

I think you can get this year's dates on www.wdwig.com. They may have the ones from last year or you could post over on the theme park board and someone could provide them.

Even though the DATES changed for this year the DAYS of the party pretty much stayed the same.

Is there a reason you are waiting to April to book? I would book at the 11 month window and then just buy tickets when they go on sale unless there is another reason you are waiting.

We booked early and bought the MNSSHP tickets when they became available. Our trip is early October this year. There are many dates for this event so if you are there any week in October you should be okay.

We weren't sure if we should wait until we got the tickets for MNSSHP to go on sale or not. Seems like not. I've seen the dates for this year, and looked at the dates for last year a while ago. It didn't seem like they had as many scheduled for '02 as they do in '03. We'll just book in Nov. and take our chances.
