My spouse and I are talking about the possibility of upgrading to concierge on our trip to WDW in October.

My question is this: Does anyone know if any of the concierge rooms are handicap accessible? I don't need a roll in shower, but do need grab bars in the tub and the higher toilet with grab bars. Thought I'd ask here first and then if no one knows, give the Swan a call(smile).

My spouse called and checked. According to the person at the Swan that he spoke to, none of the concierge rooms are fully handicap accessible.

About 95 % of all of the rooms at the Swan have grab bars in the bathtubs, and housekeeping can bring a shower bench for the tub if it is requested. So most of the bathtubs in concierge rooms do have grab bars, but none of those rooms have roll-on showers, raised toilets or lowered counters.

I'll probably take the opportunity to mention this to someone when we are there in October, just to see if there are any plans to change this in the future(smile).

Thanks for the update! Obviously, nobody here knew the answer offhand- so it was nice of you to call & post the answer here! :D
