When we went in for parent teacher conferences at the end of last month, each teacher had a 'wish list' posted outside of her room. Stuff for the classroom like paint and googly eyes. I plan to get some of these things for them, do I send them in now or can I throw them in a bag and send them in with the gift card we're giving her?

I would send the items in with the gift card. There's also some cute "school supply cakes" on Pinterest if you're feeling ambitious enough to make one. I wish I was! Lol

ditto..send them in with the gift card! I do like it when the teachers have wish lists, makes shopping much easier

When my kids were in elementary school they had book fairs and each teacher made up a wish list. It was great I would buy them one of the new release hardcovers they wanted and gave them a small giftcard for the holidays.

I would send in the items and don't forget to have your child write a note or draw a picture. A gift card, ( i know because I work in a school) is greatly appreciated but not necessary.

I would send in the donated items as soon as you get them since they're for the classroom. If you choose to give the teacher a personal gift, such as a gift card, I would give it to her separately. I think that anything you donate for use in the classroom should be independent of a gift for the teacher.

I am a part time teacher and when I make those lists, it is something we plan on using that year sometime. IF it is possibly for a Christmas project I'd send in ASAP. If you are sure it is for later in the year then by all means wait.

It is very generous to donate anything any time of the year!
