Different resort, same UY, same membership?

I couldn't find this answer while searching so thought I'd ask. If we decided to buy at another resort with the same UY (and made sure that MS knew we were owners and put our current membership number on the paperwork), would it still be all one membership? I wasn't sure if owning at different resorts automoatically meant you had a whole different membership?

If you are adding on via Disney, the add ons will be part of the master contract number.

Example.

Master contract number: 1234567.0
Add on 1: 1234567.1

etc.

If you are purchasing an add on via resale, and it's the same UY, have it titled the same and tell the resale agent that you want to add it on to your existing membership.

That is what I thought. I had seem some posts eluding to it but I just hadn't seen it spelled out as such.
