Does it matter if your party size shrinks when you show up for your ADR's? I maade ADR's for 5 but we may be leaving the baby at home.I hope it won;t be a problem.

I doubt they will turn away paying customers. Maybe in peak season. It depends on the time of year.

We've done that many times and never had a problem as long as we weren't adding people. If anything, your party of 5 may be booked for a 6 topper so they'll move you to a 4 topper instead and a larger party will be seated sooner =)

Last summer at Teppanyaki, we had an ADR for four. My mom was under the weather that day and decided to stay home from the parks and my father stayed with her. When we showed up at the podium, we explained the situation, and there was no issue. We were placed at a table with two other families, so it didn't really matter anyway it seems. Plus, if you are only leaving the baby at home, who probably would have taken up just a high chair, it won't make much of a difference.

It's much easier to accommodate one less than accommodate one more...

No problem at all. Last year we'd had 4 ADRs for each restaurant, but DS got sick on our trip and never went to any restaurant with us.

We have ajusted our count a couple of times and there wasn't any problem with leaving people out. Adding people can be a bigger problem since they will probably need a larger table and that could lead to long waits.

We are having the opposite problem. We booked all our ADR's for October and now DD is comming along. So we will be a group of 4 instead of 3. Our TA said we(she) would have to make all new ADR's and since the ones she already got were hard she said just tell them when you check in it is 4 not 3. My feeling is that a table for 3 would also hold 4 unless is it a triangle table....LOL
Thoughts????

I made ADRS this am for 4 and there might be only 3 of us going. I asked the question about having one less and she said it was no big deal as long as we weren't adding one to make 5. So you should be just fine!

One less is never a problem. One more can be, even if the one is an infant. They have to be sure that they stay under the fire marshall's maximum number for the room as well as having sufficient seating at each individual table.

I have seen a party with an ADR who brought 2 more told that there would be at least an hour wait.
