Different Ohana question- allergies

We decided that my Dsister and I would cancel our surf lessons on the next trip and we would do more PS meals and maybe a tour instead that DMom and DGrandma would be able to enjoy too. We(me especially) wanted Ohana's so I got a PS time that we are happy with. So what is the problem you wonder? My sister is allergic to pineapple(juice, fruit etc)- I got the phone number for the restuarant when I made the PS but wonder when to call. Thanks in advance.

My DS has a little guy who is allergic to everything. She called 30 days prior and it was noted on our ressies. She made the server aware of it when we were seated and the Chef came to the table to make sure of the exact food he could have. They will do everything they can to accomodate you. Be very specific, if her allergies are so severe that she cannot have the "pineapple bread" on the table, etc. Have a great time, you will love Ohana, it is wonderful!

I call 30 days out, then 7 days out as a reminder and some places asked me to call back 24 hours in advance and remind them we would be coming.

I've wanted to eat at Ohana's but I'm very allergic to ginger which is basically in everything there. Hopefully I'll be able to figure out everything too and will be able to eat at Ohana's.


Anyway, I hope everything goes well for you and you all enjoy Ohana's.

Thanks for the replies. I got the number for Ohana from WDW-Dine when I made the PS, I just didn't know when to call. My biggest worry is cross contamination as she had a problem with that last April at CP and the sheer volume of pineapple items on Ohana's menu will make it a challenge. We avoid the dole whip place and it's easy enough to get around her allergy(food, we won't even mention the others) at most dining locations. She's a huge Stitch fan though so the theming of Ohana's appeals to her too and she is excited about going- we are choosing to eat earlier so we can go to MK for Spectromagic and Wishes post-dinner rather than waiting to eat and trying to time it to watch from the beach at the Poly.

I would call ASAP. We have food allergies, too, though more common ones. The chefs are wonderful at Disney. IIRC, you have to call at least 21 days in advance now.
