My best friend and I are headed down in Sept and sharing a room. I loved charging things to my Magic Band when I went with DH. Is is possible for best friend and I to each attach a different credit card to our Magic Bands even though we are in the same room?

Yes. Just tell the person at the hotel desk when checking in that you'd like to link a different card to the other band

You will want to go back to the front desk a day or so after setting this up and get a list of all charges to ensure they are getting split out correctly.

Im assuming they will if they both have their own my DISNEY experience and account/card set up on file.

Although isuppose it never hurts to just skim things over.

Your credit cards are linked to your MDE account...not your room. So as long as you each have a separate MDE account you will be fine.

My DH and I each have Disney Reward Visa's, so we each have our own MDE account so our charges can go to our own credit card.

I know everything else is linked to MDE account, but I honestly thought in park charging was tied to room charges only. Does this mean that a non-resort guest could set up charging using MDE and Magic band?

I have done this several times and it worked out fine, last time, it was a nightmare. Me and my DSinL were in the same room and two different cards and they mixed up everything. We had to go over twice to try to get it straightened out, we thought it was done and they called the room and we had to go back over, we were at the desk for over two hours, we finally got the charges separated, and mine was fine, after we got home, DSinL saw that they had charged her cc twice. So please do as PP has said, go and check after a couple of days and make sure that everything is going where is is suppose to go.

We do this all the time and so far so good. FWIW my sister is on my MDE (she doesn't have her own) and she just gives her CCd info when we check in, gets a different pin and it hasn't been a problem.

We do go and check after 24 hours or so to be sure things are correct.

Thanks for the warnings - I think I may stick to using my gift cards and charging my credit card, rather than using the MB.

Last December my DS charged to his MB and was supposed to charge to his CC. Instead they charged my dad's CC. Dad caught it at the resort and they "fixed" it. Yeah, double charges to DS. Then we catch that at home. DS calls they refund one of the charges then recharge my dad. Took over a month for my dad to get his money back the second time.

We did this with my mom on 2013. She is not tech savvy at all so she didn't have her own MDE account. We set it up at the front desk and didn't have any problems.

I agree with this. The folks at the front desk will tell you that you can set up separate cards for eachmagic band, but it doesn't always work correctly. Be warned!

When I shared a room with my friend a year ago, we each set up separate credit cards, with separate PINs, linked to our magic bands. When I checked at the end of the second day, I found out that all of my charges were going to my friend's card. I asked them to separate them out manually, which they did. Checked back at the end of Day Three, and they were still charging all of my things to my friend's credit card. Once again, they separated them out one by one, at my request.

At that point I gave up. I wasn't willing to spend 20 minutes each night at the front desk while they separated out the charges. Plus, it's my understanding that when your room charges reach a certain dollar limit, they (Disney) automatically charge your credit card on file, starting you back again at zero. I think it's $500 for value resorts, so I didn't want my friend to have to pay for my charges, then have to reimburse her afterward. Luckily, they were able to identify hose charges were whose (due to separate magic bands).

So you can sure give it a try, but be sure to check early on (ideally at the end of the first day) to see if it's working!

I've tried to do it...should have gone down to the front desk to check a few days later. All charges went to my friends cc. Yes, we both have our own MDE accounts.
It it were me? I would just decide who is charging to the room then everyone else uses the cc they want, when charging.
