Difference in TGM and UG?

Hi All, I have the UG read the entire book, and loved it. Now I am at the stage in my "Planning Process" :teeth: where I want to make out an itinerary for which rides to go to first without hitting the lines. I am having a problem because my plan is to go to the parks in EMH go back to the hotel to swim and rest then go to the same park or a different park in the evening. UG has some tours for splitting days but I noticed for Epcot on the day/evening tour it totally skips Soarin. Which is one attraction I am looking forward to.

Does TGM have more than one set of plans? How does it work in my situation? Does TGM send you all over the park? Has anyone done both, how do they compare? I've heard TGM is totally worth it and all the posts I've read have only raved about him. So I'm thinking of taking the plunge but want to be sure I'm not paying for the same thing as in UG.

I have read the UG pretty thoroughly and still found TGM worthwhile. If I remember right, there are some half-day tours for Epcot, but that is all. TGM does the opposite of "send you all over the park", and tries to give you an efficient plan. There are 12-20 "sample" plans that you can adapt.

TGM has a money back guarantee, so you might think of signing up to check it out and if it does not have what you want, take them up on their guarantee.

There is a lot more there than just tour planning.

I don't know, but I'm guessing the reason that the UG skips Soarin' in the afternoon is because the FP's can be gone by noon, and the standby would be WAY too long by then.

This is one thing I haven't been able to figure out -- what exactly IS the advantage to park-hopping this way? Sure, you can leave an EMH park early if the crowds build, but where do you park-hop TO? No sense trying Soarin', EE, etc. in the afternoon, since all the FPs will be gone by then.

And if you have to come back in the morning to hit those popular rides anyway, why not just visit a non-EMH park and stay for the day in the first place? :confused3
