Difference in lockoff villa

What is the difference between a 2 bedroom villa and a 2 bedroom lock off villa at Old Key West?

2 br lockoff is a studio and 1 bedroom with a door between them (each has an outside entrance). A true 2 bedroom has no kitchenette in the 2 bedroom and only one entrance.

The dedicated two bedroom at OKW will not have a balcony off the second bedroom, just the large one off the living room and master bedroom. The second bedroom will have another bathroom sink where the kitchenette would have been, plus another very large closet where the exterior door would have been. Both the dedicated and lockoff will have two queen beds in the second bedroom.

In many cases the lockoff two bedroom will be towards the ends of the building and the dedicated will be closer to the center of the building.

The second sink is where the kitchenette would have been. So the narrow walkway between the bathroom and majority of the bedroom space.

Deb. This picture shows no access to bathroom through laundry room. Is that in ALL dedicated 2bedrooms or just in the buildings under 30.
We have a dedicated two bedroom booked in February and we have three couples staying in it. I want to make sure that we don’t get a unit that doesn’t have bathroom access from the hallway. I booked a two bedroom dedicated but not hospitality house. Do you think will be OK?I really like the area of building 54/55 with the small pool. Would a 2bd dedicated be in that building area and would we have bathroom access from hallway. Is there a way to find this out?

Also the lock off will have HVAC control in each side, the 1 BR side and the 'studio" side.

In villas numbered under 30, there will not be a door between the laundry room and the bathroom. You pretty much need to be in Turtle Pond or South Point to get the door in the laundry room to the bathroom.

Thank you. I just wanted to confirm that if I get a Bldg above 30 it would have that door no matter if it’s lockoff or dedicated. I’d switch to lockoff if it meant I would definitely get the bathroom door. We like south point so I will request that. Did not book HH for this reason as doing that would guarantee I would not get that bathroom hall access, correct? So silly they haven’t done that in the other villas. Seems like an easy fix when doing Reno’s. I’d love the option to be close to HH but not have to have guests go in my room to go to the bathroom.
