Difference in Intimate Wedding & VR!

Ok, so I know I have been asking a lot of questions lately, but after reading all of your wonderful threads it keeps bringing up questions that I KNOW you people are the best to ask. Does anyone know what the main difference is between an Intimate Wedding and an Intimate Vow Renewal? I know you don't have to worry about getting the marriage license, but what else is there? I know if ANYONE would know it's this board!

As i understand it the elements are the same but the VR package price is cheaper. I think that is about the only difference!

And now I'm wondering why...the package elements are identical (unless I'm missing something)...the only difference being the license thing which Disney never paid for/included anyway.

In truth, I wonder if they simply haven't really updated that part of the site

The difference is the marriage license and the officiant. For a vow renewal, the officiant rules are not very strict. Since there is nothing legally binding, you can even have your friend officiate your vows if you wish. I read that somewhere, but I don't remember where anymore.

If I were having a VR I would expect things to be cheaper. I understand that everything is identical- but if they didnt make VR's cheaper-- they probobly wouldnt have as many.

we're going through a UK travel agent and have been told that the Intimate VR package elements and price are the same as an Intimate wedding

I would double check the information that you received about the VR price being chepaer than the intimate wedding. That may have been true when the officiant was included with the package, but as they are no longer included the price might be the same. Where did you hear baout the price being cheaper? It would be nice but it might not really be accurate.
