at Victoria & Alberts? Do you get different food? What's the pricing levels?

I'm considering trying to get V&A for our anniversary dinner and not sure which to ask for or why.

Thanks ya'll

I was at the Chef's Table two weeks ago. There were six of us dining. It was five hours from the time we walked in until we rolled out.

Included in our meal were three items which are extra cost on the main menu, and one that I had never seen on the menu before.

One of the Amuse Bouche items was a Deviled Quail Egg with Iranian Oestra Caviar. Normally the Caviar is $150 for a 1/2 ounce portion and $300 for an ounce.

We had both the Australian "Kobe" Beef Tenderloin (normally a $35 add-on) and Japanese Wagyu Strip Loin (normally an $85 add-on). The real surprise was the Japanese Wagyu Braised Short Rib (which I had never seen on the menu).

And a word of warning. They now have three different types of bread, each with a specialty butter, served at different times.

OMG five hours?!? I'm not sure if I can eat for that long! Does it cost more for the chefs table and is it acceptable for a party of two to take up the whole table?

I could book the Chef's Table as a party of 1 and it's perfectly acceptable. I've been there as a party of 2 and a party of 5. We were there more about 3 1/2 to 4 hours, but the time goes by so fast, as least it felt that way for us.

And yes, it does cost more. $165 per person plus tax and gratuity.
Add $70 per person for wine pairings.

The main dining room is $125 / $60 per guest by comparison.

I ate at the Chefs table a couple years ago. It was a wonderful experience. The Chef talks to your party and find your likes, dislikes and alergies, then just begins cooking!! My only complaint about the experience was, I wish someone (either the chef or server) would point our who was preparing your next course so you could kinda watch from the table, as opposed to just bringing it over and saying it was prepared "over there." If you have the opportunity, it's certainly something to do once!!

Call at exactly 7 am on the first day you can reserve the Chef's table for the date you want. It books fast since there is only one per night. Also, there are days of the week it isn't offered, so be willing to be flexible with your dates. You will love it though!!! So worth it!! :thumbsup2

Thanks so much everyone. The 3.5 - 4 hrs isn't so bad. We'll make it an early dinner. The price isn't as bad as I though so that's very good. (I was thinking it was close to $250pp) I'll def. put it on my list and if not the chefs table then the regular ones sound nice too.

I believe there is only one seating per night and it's at 6:30pm.
Does anyone know if there are discounts for this with AP, DVC, or TIW?

There is more than one seating per night for the regular dining room.

I have done both...chefs and dining room. For a really romantic experience and your first time at V&A, I would definitely do the dining room and save the Chef's table for another time.

Also, never heard of DVC discounts but there are definitely TIW discounts here....it would pay for itself!!!

TIW discounts are NOT GOOD on the Chef's table but are good at the regular seatings (I believe).

So, here's the plan: Call 1-407-939-3463 at 7 AM Eastern, as advised. Actually, start calling a couple of minutes before, and keep hanging up and redialing until the lines open.

You may even want to do a 'test' run, any day during business hours (7 AM - 10 PM) so you can familiarize yourself with the voice prompts - you don't have to wait until the automated system finishes each prompt, you can respond as soon as each one starts.

There is, or was, a specific number to press for V&A reservations; the new system likely has the separate prompt. There may be additional, distinct prompts.

As soon as a CM answers the phone, say "Chef's Table" and the date. If you get it, great. If not, in the meantime make a reservation for the dining room.

Repeat daily, and if still unsuccessful, try intermittently before your trip.

Thanks! This is how I get the perfect time at Le Cellier also, up at 5:30am, guzzle down a cup of coffee and then on the phone by 5:55am :rotfl: This trip we're staying CL so hopefully the IPO can get lucky with it. I'll most likely try also just for extra measure.

Actually our seating at CT was at about 5:30. Of the six of us three were experienced, one had been to V&A once but no CT, one had been in the area for many years but never to V&A, and the most lost was the one who was on his first trip to WDW. A good time was had by all, and we did finally leave about 10:30. The two of us who had to drive home did not do the wine pairings but the four staying a monorail ride away did.

And not only do they not give the TiW discount but they also don't give the Cast discount.
