We purchased SSR in Jan. 2008 and received the standard financing rate. We just added on 60 points at BLT and received the preferred financing rate (we will be paying this off with tax refund BTW.). Is it possible to get SSR contract turned over to preferred rate since that is what we were given for add on?

Probably not. There is no prepayment penalty so you could pay it off and finance somewhere else perhaps. But like a mortgage that has a fixed rate, it is highly doubtful you could alter the rate after the fact.

If you have a home, you could look at a home equity loan. Rates would be much cheaper than through Dis. Just something to consider.

Thanks for the responses. We won't be doing any refinancing right now. We are renting a home as we prepare to build our new home. We will be getting the DVC paid off way before the actual financing period is over. I was just hoping to maybe bump off a few more dollars by lowering our interest rate. We will most likely transfer the balance to our CC with the 0% offers we are getting. They have been for anywhere between 12 - 24 months at 0%. We would be able to pay the balance before the offer expired.
