I am now officially jealous of my 10-year old's boots. She has a pair of UGGS that she literally slept on for the first two nights. I tried on UGGS and Bearpaws side-by-side yesterday and the Bearpaws just didn't fit. The size 8 was too small (toes bumping up against the end) and the 9 was too big. As I'm an 8.5, that wasn't a big surprise! But, there went my chance to buy FUGGS to save some money as the UGGS fit just fine.

I am currently trying to decide if the Ultimate Short UGGs are worth the extra $25 over the Classic UGGS. I found a pretty good deal on UGGS (as these things go) where the boots are $130 instead of $140 and then there is an extra 15% off with free shipping with a specific code. The Classics come down to $110 delivered and the Ultimates are $135 delivered. This is an approved UGG retailer and I will share all after I order mine :rotfl:.

I know that the Ultimate is a little narrower and has a removable insole. You you find it comfier than the Classic? How is the fit? Like I said, I'm a solid 8.5 and the size 8 Classic fit just fine. I don't think there are any places nearby that have the Ultimate otherwise I would try one on even though I am not a big fan of trying on somewhere and then buying online. I actually went into the place yesterday to buy the Bearpaws but their UGGS were full price with no discount.

One more question. I am torn between the Chestnut and the Chocolate but am leaning toward the Chestnut because I like a lighter tan/brown and I don't want to be totally matchy-matchy with my 5th grader. Which color would you choose?

I don't know the difference, I only have the classic shorts. I live in them in the fall/winter. I have the chocolate brown because the chestnut color reminds me of when my kids were babies ( I won't be any more graphic ). My dd had dark brown bearpaws last year (don't buy them, they fell apart) so we were matchy matchy, she didn't mind at all.
If I were to buy a pair now (I'm not allowed because I just bought some new Cardy's :)) I would go with a more narrow one and one with a removable innersole. My classics have become a bit floppy and they feel better when I wear them with socks. I had always worn them without.

My DD's Bearpaws also fell apart last year which is why she had UGGS now. She wore them every single day for months. Of course, I could probably have bought her 3 pairs of Bearpaws for one pair of UGGS but I bought her UGGS a lttlte big and I hope she will still be able to wear them next year too.

I have a pair of the Ultimate Shorts in chocolate. I love them! I got the chocolate because that was the only color the store I bought them at had (The Walking Co.) I've had them about a year now and they have held up well. I chose them over the classics because I didn't want to be like everyone else and just liked the look of the style better.

I am a 9 in most shoes and an 8 in the Ultimate fit me just fine. :)

ETA: I also wanted to say that if I had the choice I would get the chocolate again.

As promised ...

I had to go to one of the local malls today to get my iphone fixed so I strolled around after it was done. I tried on a pair of UGGS Ultimate TALL boots (they looked really funny with my capris!) and they were a dream! They had more support, they had more of an arch, they were cushier and the sole was more flexible and bouncy ... like walking on air. I was sold for only $25 more.

So, I got them from City Sports (www.citysports.com) which is an approved UGG retailer. They were $160 base price instead of the $180. I was able to use code "INSIDERCS2" which is for 15% of one item. That took off another $24 and my boots were only $136! I added on the Uggs care kit because we now have two pairs of Uggs in the house for another $20 more. Standard shipping was free.

I ended up selecting the color Chestnut. They only had Chestnut and Black available and I knew I didn't want black. I'm hoping that they will be here by next Friday ... I would love to wear them to the Badger's game!

you definitely made a good choice with the ultimates. i wish when i bought mine 5 years ago, i had bought the ultimates (and in chestnut!). i don't get any support from the classics and i have issues with sliding around in the snow. i ended up getting the mayfaire ones before last christmas on super sale (on shopbop.com) and i wear those a lot more now because they have some grip to them. the tall was also a very good choice. i love how warm my tall classics keep my legs and i can either tuck my pants in, especially when i'm cleaning the car off in the winter, or leave them out. :goodvibes

{bump} for the morning peeps :).

iggbees, I'll be wearing mine in the snow too. Just the snow from the front door to the car ... but still. I am really looking forward to tossing on my "Australian Flip Flops" (made in China, *sigh*) in the morning.

I found some of the mayfairs on sale and wondered how they compared to the regulars and if you liked them? I haven't seen them in person, only online. Also, do I buy a size down on those like the classics? I am a 9.5 and was going to go with a 9.
