Difference between the following two Sigma 24-70mm f/2.8 lens?

The first one has macro capability

ETA the first one will also work with full frame, the second is only digital I am 99% sure.

also the first one says its only a 24-70 and the second is a 28 to 70. also judging from the description of the second one it would seem mastor mason is correct about it only fiting digital SLRs

Sigma 24-70mm F2.8 EX DG MACRO
EX = The exterior of this lens is EX-finished to denote the superior build and optical quality, and to enhance its appearance.
DG = These are large-aperture lenses with wide angles and short minimum focusing distances. With an abundance of peripheral illumination, they are ideal lenses for Digital SLR Cameras whilst retaining suitability for traditional 35mm SLRs.

Sigma 28-70mm f/2.8 EX DG IF Aspherical
IF (Inner Focus)
To ensure stability in focusing, this lens moves the inner lens group or groups without changing the lens' physical length.

ASP (Aspherical Lens)
The aspherical lens complex allows freedom of design, improved performance, a reduced number of component lenses and a compact size.

The biggest difference is the Macro feature on the more expensive one. It doesn't say what the macro is (ie: 1:1, 1:2, 1:4 or something like that) on the Sigma web site. The Macro feature will allow the lens to get closer to the subject and still focus. Personally I don't know if the Macro feature is worth that much extra. Plus I like that the lesser expensive one doesn't physically get larger when zooming in. All that takes place inside. You'll also have to ask if 24mm vs 28mm is a big difference to you.

After all that,,,,, :confused3
