Difference between Sugar loaf and main bld concierge??

Could someone please explain to me the difference in the concierge in Sugar loaf and Main bld at the Grand?? Adn tell me if its worth paying more to stay in the Main bld.

There is a bigger spread in the main building, but the same offerings are served in Sugar Loaf. Sugar Loaf's lounge is in the building's lobby, and so is the concierge desk (I can't remember if there are one or two desks, but I think just one). In the main building, the concierge desks (I'm pretty sure there are two of them, possibly three) are located on the 3rd floor, and the concierge lounge is located on the 4th floor. Rooms in Sugar Loaf have either a courtyard pool view or a marina view. Rooms in the Main Building have either a marina/MK view, a courtyard pool view, or a theme pool/wedding pavilion/lagoon view. We've stayed in both and I think the atmosphere is very different depending on which one you stay in. I think Sugar Loaf has a more relaxed feel to it. The lounge is located in the center of the lobby when you walk in and the concierge desk is just off to the side. There are a few tables and some big comfy couches. The main building feels a bit more proper. There are fewer couches and more tables set up on the 4th floor lounge. The concierge staff have their desks set up on the 3rd floor. The lounge overlooks the main floor of the building and you can hear the band playing in the evening and the piano player. It's a great people watching spot. When we went, the lodge did not serve wine with the dinner offerings and there were no late night cordials. Those are offered in the main building, but there were earlier threads that mentioned that Sugar Loaf might start serving alcohol. If a castle view is important, some of the rooms in the main building have a terrific view and you can't really see it from any rooms in Sugar Loaf.

I wish I knew if Sugar loaf now serves wine!! That would make it an esier choice since it is so much less expensive!!! But the main bld sounds wonderful iwth the views!!!

As everyone else has said, there are only a few differences. We stayed in Sugar Loaf and found it to be very comfortable. I just called the Grand Floridian for you and the Sugar Loaf DOES NOT offer the evening Cordials or Alcohol, they have Twilight Refreshers from 5 - 7 but no late night offering. When we stayed there they didn't offer the evening cordials, but the rest of the offering where Fantastic. We loved them. The atmosphere was like the others have said "more relaxed". The Castmembers where all Super Nice and very friendly. I would do it again in a heartbeat if they had a Castle View, but the Main Building has always been a Dream of mine and one day we will do that but until then I will settle on Lagoon View.

From what I heard, they will soon offer the wine & cordials. Someone will have to update on it, I think our trip next month will be at the Polynesian Concierge instead of the GF Concierge...

It's so relaxed at Sugarloaf that some of the guests will show up for breakfast in their PJ's and robes. Please don't do that.

Sugarloaf was very nice - cozy, even. The CM's were pleasant. Snacks plentiful and good. Just nothing late at night.
