Hello all...can anyone please tell me the difference between the savanah view at Jumbo House and conceirge? We are staying in September for 4 nights before our 3 day cruise and just wondering what you get when staying in conceirge?
Thanks very much.

Tom

From what I've heard, the few Concierge units are on the 6th floor (rest of Jambo DVC is 5th floor) and half the units have a pool view and the other half have a somewhat limited Sunset Savannah view (limited due to the large "thatch" roof overhangs)
You could request savannah view but requests are not guaranteed...

Be sure to try to take advantage of the early AM savannah tour. (I'm jealous of those Concierge guests that have that opportunity)

Savanna view rooms are located on 5th floor of Jambo virtually throughout the resort (80% of the rooms are savanna view). The concerge rooms (5 2BR lock-offs, and thus possible 10 rooms total) are all located on the 6th floor directly above the lobby (that is the only place in the resort where there is a 6th floor). Three of the 2BR lock-offs (including one handicap accessible unit) face the Sunset savanna. From where they are they do not have the greatest view of the savanna but it is fine. The other two 2BR lock-offs face the pool.

You get concierge service, meaning special line to check-in, access to a concierge CM for any needs (reservations, information, etc.), access to the concierge lounge where you can get drinks and mostly finger foods. You can also take the sunrise savanna tour (which costs extra but is limited to concierge guests). You also get daily maid (and turndown) service as part of the point cost.

Our expereince was that the view from the CL rooms was limited more due to the tree tops on the savanna than to any issue with the roof.

We could see an Eland that was right below our balcony and several ostrichs, but otherwise we mostly saw the tops of the trees. When we went down to the Sunset viewing area off the lobby (which was directly below our studio in 6209), we were able to see zebra and other animals that were in the shade under the trees.

We loved the Sunrise safari and were glad we tried CL out for 2 nigths before staying at our home resort of BWV. -- Suzanne
