Difference between preferred vs. standard view at ASMO?

Can some one tell me the difference for the 2 views at ASMo? I am planning on asking for the Dalmatians building.

Preferred view is $10 more per night and is closer to the food court/bus stop area. There is no difference in "view" -- you're just as likely to look at a parking lot or other building as in the standard view. Only difference is closeness to the main area. IMHO, it's not worth the expense as some of the furthest "preferred" rooms are no closer than some standard rooms. And there's no way to guarantee what you'll get. I just pay for standard and ask a check in for the best I can get. HTH.

I usually ask for the bldg that is right next to the preferred bldg. About 30 seconds more of a walk but without the $10 extra charge.

The Dalmation buildings are not a preferred, just Fantasia buildings are. I agree with the others, Preferred rooms definitely arent worth the extra money to me. ASMO is pretty compact. We have stayed in the MIghty Ducks building on the back side twice and while thats probably the furthest area from the main building, the walk wasnt that long at all.

I have stayed at ASMu before, but never ASMo. DD is a HUGE Dalamatians fan so, if they grant our request, she will be in heaven! I'm sure she will have a great time either way.

We have stated at the ASMv, Dalmations building and it was great. Perfect location, not too far to the pool, food court or bus stop.

My dd was 5 when we stayed there and she *loved* it!

The Dalmatians buildings are a great choice- they are about halfway between the ASMo and ASMu food courts and busses.
You can choose to eat at the Movies food court one day and Melody Hall at ASMu the next.

we stayed at the Movies last summer, we got the dalmation bldg. it was GREAT. we were right beside fantasia, which is preferred bldg. we were actually a few feet closer than that bld.,. it was right beside the pool,food court,etc. and like some one mentioned it really is a coupld of min. walking from any of the bldgs. you will LOVE this bldg.

Hi All!

Last summer my daughter and family booked preferred, and we just took whatever we got!! We were in Dalmations, and they were behind us, and they payed the extra money!!! We were closer to food court! But they have little ones, and again this summer have booked preferred!

I say the heck with preferred give me my Spotted pups!!!!!. I am also a HUGE spotted pup fan, I got my wish during our hoineymoon and hoping to get my wish granted again in may.
