Hi Everyone,

I'm just about to book our next DLP trip  and wanted to check about deposits and payment.

Am I right in thinking if you book via the website you have to pay the whole amount there and then, but if you book over the phone you can pay just a depoist now with the rest later.

And if so, how much later? How many weeks before your trip is the balance due?

Thanks
Luv Suzy

if you're in the UK and you book by phone, you pay 10% deposit when you book, and the balance is payable 60 days before your check-in date.

I don't mean to sound negative but do make sure you check the online price before you telephone to book. I had totally opposite experience and the totally useless CM I spoke to wanted to charge me around £400 more for the same holiday I could buy online :scared1:. When I challenged her about the price (I had it written down in front of me), she got all shirty and told me that the price must have gone up - was the first day of the new 'sale' so I knew that wasn't the case .

Needless to say I didn't book with her. I rang off, redialled and got a CM who knew what he was talking about and got the price I knew it was ;).

I actually prefer to book online (as you can get cashback via Quidco, if you are paying quite a bit for your trip it's a little perk) but this time I did call and book as I used an AP rate. I paid in full (figured I had to pay it at some point anyway lol) but they did offer me the 10% deposit rate if I'd wanted it - they then let you know the date the balance has to be paid by. Not sure they remind you nearer the time though so you need to keep a note of that date :thumbsup2

Ohh thanks for the reminder about Quidco...I'd forgotten that!

Hmmm decisions, decisions! lol

Might just book online and get it over and done with I suppose rather than procrastinating
