Difference between BC and BCV studio?

We are not booking thru DVC. This is a regular $$$ reservation. What services do we get? Do they have nightly turndown service? I can't find anything on the disneyworld website about it. I know we had it at the Yacht Club in a standard room.

Are the standard rooms at BC better because they have two queen beds plus the day bed or are the BCV studios better because they are SLIGHTLY bigger?

If I had a choice between a studio at the BCV and a standard room at BC, I'd go with the standard room. You should get two queen beds (beware, though, some BC rooms have two DOUBLE beds) and you might get a daybed, too. At the villas, you will get one queen sized bed and one double sleeper sofa. You'll also get a refrigerator that is a bit larger than the one in the BC and a microwave oven.

The beds make a big difference to me and I'm a DVC member. We never stay in studios because I think they are just too small. I need a king sized bed or a queen bed that I don't have to share.

The villas are located in a separate building from the BC. They don't usually have turn down service, but you might be able to request it if you are staying on cash directly through Disney and not through DVC.

First of all, how many are in your party? If there are only two adults, or two adults and two small children, then the studio sleeping arrangements are just fine. What I like about the studio is that you have the kitchenette for quick breakfasts (and the refrigerator is larger than the ones in the BC rooms) and the rooms seems larger during the day because you have more floor space with the sofa folded. Plus, having the sofa gives you a place to sit other than the bed. Another plus is that the studios all have balconies with chairs. At BC, you have about a 50/50 shot of getting a balcony or patio you can sit on. You could get a small, one person standing up balcony.

BC has plusses too though. You are closer to the restaurants, shops, SAB and to Epcot at BC. You get a daily newspaper. If you have children, and get a room with a daybed, your kids don't have to share a bed (which can be a real bonus, depending on the kids).

Both have access to SAB, both have room service, both have daily Mousekeeping (since you would be booking BCV through CRO), and the bathrooms in both are laid out quite similar. I would base your decision on whether the sofa bed will be an asset or a liability, and whether having the kitchenette will be a benefit to you.

Beware, I got a room with DOUBLE beds once, and no daybed. Plus horrible service, but that was in 1995. Finally got moved to a room with queen beds, but not until the next day. I'm tall, so that kind of annoyed me. I didn't think they had daybeds in the rooms, so maybe some.

Second time, we had a room with a king bed, no balcony.

Not all of the BC rooms have the daybed. I've had rooms with two doubles and a daybed, two doubles only, two queens and a daybed, and two queens only. I've never specifically requested a daybed, as our party size hasn't warranted it.

how many in your party? 4 - go with BC

2 or less - then BCV.

I think you can order the nightly turn down - ask at the front desk.

the studio at BCV - have a queen bed, double sleeper sofa - so watching TV is nice on the sofa - plus a kitchennett.

the kitchennett is very nice (my opinion) but I cook on vacations - if you don't again BC.

the BCV is further from Epcot than BC - it is behind BC.

BC has two sinks while a studio at BCV has only one. We really enjoy the BC more but sometimes stay at the villas as our son is a member and we use his points.

it has 2 sinks - one in the bathroom part - the other one behind you - the wetbar is a sink.

You are right, but I wouldn't use that sink to brush my teeth or shave, etc. It is just easier for us to have two bathroom sinks. The other one is really a kitchen sink.
