Diff between POR and POFQ?

Hi,

I'm sure this is already posteed somewhere, but I can't find it.

Can you tell me the difference between POR and POFQ? Are these two seperate hotels? Do you book at one or the other? What one has the boat launch to DD? Also can you walk to each one?

Maybe someone can direct me to the main threads for each so I can view photos etc.

Two different hotels, but they are sister resorts so you can use each other's pools.

Book the one you want to stay at. Both have lots of fans

POFQ is designed after the New Orleans French Quarter. It is a smaller resort without all the amenities of the standard moderate....no sit down, no quiet pools, no rentals....these items can be found over at POR.

POR has two designs....the mansions which are designed after the large homes of St. Charles Ave and garden district outside of the French Quarter, and Alligator Bayou which was designed after the bayous and parishes outside of New Orleans. POR has full line of amenities, several quiet pools, rentals, etc.

How far of a walk is it between the two resorts?

10 minutes tops!

There is also a great boat that goes to Downtown Disney, great mode of transportation in place of the usual bus.

There is a POR thread somewhere on these boards. Also, check allearsnet.com and read some of the reviews for both resorts.

Look at map I added to my post above. It gives you a visual and has mileage calculated with the dashed and dotted line.

Also depends on where you are starting from and going to at each resort.

I'm sure you can tell by looking at the map that POR is quite large and has several bus stops. I've stayed at both and liked them both but we prefer POFQ due it's compact feel and being the first bus stop.
