Diez (10) Noches Calientes en la Riviera Mexicana/17 de abril 2011 (4.17.11 Wonder!)

Does anyone have extra tickets there not using to Morning Madness? If you do or no anyone who might can you let me know. I'm sure my girls would love the extra time at DL:goodvibes
How many Morning Madness tickets do you need? I'll see if I have some.

I would need 4 but if I could get at least 2 or 3 for me and my girls that would be great. Cory would skip out if he didn't have a ticket so the girls could have the extra time at the park :)

thanks for taking the time to look for any:goodvibes

Laura- I'll have to PM you my last name or you can PM me yours so I can add you as a FB friend.
Anyone eles intrested in adding face book?

Also, Were not sure where were staying the night before our cruise it will depend on our flight and what airport we fly into. Hoping for LGB over LAX but my wallet tends to have the last say in things;)
Laura - I will PM you... :)

We are driving out to California and not sure where we will be staying but thinking of the Doubletree or one of the hotel's that offer free parking for the duration. We will be spending a few days after at DL

Laura's--I will PM you guys with my FB info. I have been busy playing that DCL FB game for the last hour, totally wasting my time.

We are also driving to the port the night before. I am thinking we are staying at the Doubletree or a place with the free parking. It would be fun if some of us stayed at the same place the night before to meet up that night. Maybe for drinks in the lobby or by the pool or something. Of course we can compare hotels we are staying at closer to April.

I don't think we are going to do DL after the cruise, I am afraid of the spring break crowds. However we might stay a couple of days and do Universal Studios and visit friends in SoCal.

There is also the Ports O Call Village/Marketplace close by with lots of shops & restaurants.

Susiesark - Thank you again! :thumbsup2 The brochures just came today. Danny asked me if I was trying to get a trip together soon. I told him, you never know. ;) :rotfl:

Welcome to the new families! I updated the roll call so you should all be on the website now. If you'd like to add your photo to the roll call, send it to my email (see my signature).

On a separate note, I'll be camping at Leo Carrillo (Malibu) this weekend, starting early morning and will not be able to post on the Disboard or make changes to the website. Have a nice weekend y'all.

Have a great time and go eat at the Rock Store if you like bikes and BBQ. :thumbsup2 :woohoo:

For all you FE participants: Have you made/are you making your own Fish Extenders, or are you purchasing one? Also, when giving gifts, do you give individual gifts (for wife and hubby) or a couple gift? Trying to get some ideas. Thanks!

I made for our last cruise. I followed the no sew instructions on this board and copied a design that I fell in love with that someone posted on the boards. Probably by the time I got done making it, it cost me more than if I would have just order one off ebay. Most patterns seem to say make it 8 inches wide when finished and mine ended up being about 9 inches.. Not a problem, but I was worried that a dowel might make it stick out in the hallway, so I saw someone use used a straw, so I got a McDonald's straw and then treaded a ribbon through it and used that as my dowel and it held just fine.

As for gifts, our cruise meet was fairly easy going and we could do what ever we wanted. I did gift for the cabin and then something for the kids. I tried to be crafty, but I learned early that I am not a crafty person.

I gave something from my state.

so what are people doing for before and after hotels for the cruise? Any good deals found, we are hoping to go to disneyland for a few days after, any ideas what to do for transferes?
I would love to find a hotel in the disney area that offered transferes to the port but no luck so far
Thanks Rae
Oh How do I get on the FE list?

Have you tried the Disneyland Hotel yet? I see their buses everyday, going to and from LAX, so they may do the same thing for DCL. They are NOT an inexpensive hotel though.

Rae...I believe I have read that DCL had transportation back in '05 &'08 (someone correct me if I'm wrong). So...I would venture to guess when we see the port adventure on the website you will find info on transportation for the port. :confused3

I'm dying to see port adventures on the website! :woohoo:

:smickey:For those of you who are planning on fun days at Disneyland before/after the cruise, Costco has a good deal on tickets. You get a 4 Day Park Hopper Ticket plus a $50 Disney Gift Card, which you can use in Disneyland or on the cruise! Cost is $199.99. All 4 visits must be used by May 31, 2011. It specifies that this is for zip codes within 90000-93599 (So. Cal. residents) but I can help you out with purchasing if interested.

Wow that a great deal! We haven't decided if were going back to DL in April since were spending christmas there. We will have from the 27 of april till May 1st to do something in the cali area.

Your so lucky to live close to DL. I noticed that the parks don't have very many fast past rides. Do the lines get long during busy times?

I got my mousesavers e-mail today stating that ticket prices for WDW and DL are going up(increasing) on Sunday August 1st so if anyone was planning on buying tickets for this yr maybe buy them before the price increase. But WDW can be used at any time/year and DL needs to be used by Jan 3, 2011 so this won't help any of us out after our April cruise but hoping they'll have the promotion that everyone plays for kids price next yr. They offered it last yr and it was good through April 30th.

We are going to stay a few days after the cruise too and not do DL. Southern CA in general is fun. Hollywood, Malibu, the beaches, Santa Monica. There is SO MUCH to do. I lived and worked in Hollywood for a year and still there is so much we have not done. We also love taking our kids to places that we did not do in our pre-kid days there.

The lines at DL go surprisingly fast. With the exception of some, like Dumbo. You can get fastpasses and use them anytime during that day. You don't have to use them in the time period printed on the pass. So we grab fastpasses on rides when there is no line, like Space Mt. Then we hold onto them and use them later in the day/night when the lines are long. If you work it right, you can grab a whole bunch of fast passes in the morning time and then use them in the afternoon when it is crowded. DCA is not as crowded as DL. So we usually do DL in the morning and night and do DCA in the afternoon and when we want a break from the crowds.

You guys will have fun when you go at Christmas. The parks are beautiful and fun. Be sure to check out the hotels and their decorations too.

WooHoo, I just ordered our FE. :cool1::cool1::cool1:

Now I feel like I can cross something off or my to-do list. This FE thing is starting to stress me out. I am not crafty in the slightest. I am going to try to get together my gifts before the holidays.

Hmmm, I have so many ideas running through my head.

For anyone that is interested, I got my FE from Etsy. The seller is Stitches N' Bows http://www.etsy.com/shop/StitchesNBows She is also a DIS Boards member. She has a few cute things for DCL on her site. She really worked with me and I ordered a 4 pocket FE, with my DH and I sharing the top pocket.

My family of 4 (me, husband and two girls ages 7 and 5 (will be 8 and a week shy of 6 at cruise time) are *very* excited to be on this cruise. It is our first Disney cruise and this is my first DIS post. I was excited to find this forum and a list of folks who are also doing this cruise! Did I mention that we are excited!

party: Welcome Mariag481! We are all excited too!:woohoo: It's our first Disney cruise too and my advise is to read the main cruise thread daily...it's got all the answers and more. :surfweb:
