DH and I are on South Beach Diet. We have a PS for 50's Prime Time Cafe at MGM. I've looked over their menu and wonder if anyone has had any luck with substitutions for all the mashed potatoes on the menu? I realize we could just leave them on our plate and not eat them - but that's way too tempting for me! I'm would guess the resort restaurants will make substitutions, but I wonder about the parks?

you could probably ask for vegetables instead of the potatoes at 50's. (althought - being 'home cooked food'...I dunno how much healthier the veggies will be! heheh)

at most counter service places now you can replace your fries with carrots. Yeah - not a South Beach friendly food - but it's better then the fries.

most places will accomodate you...trust me - not everyone likes fries/potatoes.

DH and I LOVE 50's prime time...I think I get the grilled chicken sandwhich every time...very very good!

50 prime time will sub for you though you might get petted for it and you might get fussed at for it. I wanted onion rings instead of green beans and our "aunt" said " sure what ever makes you happy". Another table someone wanted double mashed potatoes and was made to stand in the corner for not wanted to eat their vegtables but they got what they wanted too. This is a really fun place and the food is good. ENJOY.

Stand in the corner??? I know some people may enjoy this kind of "fun" but the thought of that alone would keep me from enjoying my meal. I guess I am too shy. ::yes::

My kids wouldn't even twirl their napkins at Chef's Mickeys!!
