Walmart carries Sam Choice seltzer. This is not your average seltzer....there are maybe 10 different flavors. I DO NOT like seltzer at all...but these are AWESOME...and really CHEAP!!
I would give em a try...everything in them is zero...cals, carbs, sodium,etc....
I don't like the taste of any diet sodas, but a friend of mine swears by Aldi's brand diet cola. I'm not sure if Aldi's is a store that is all over the place or just more local....but it is a very mini, stripped down version of BJ's or Sam's Club.
I drank Diet A & W Root Beer for several years before switching to Diet Rite (cola, white grape, and tangerine) a couple of months ago. And, although it's not a carbonated beverage, I LOVE the new Fruit2o that's out, now -- particularly, the raspberry flavor. It doesn't have any calories and it's sweetened with Splenda.
Propel Fitness Water is pretty good, too. I only like the Lemon flavored. My husband likes the Black Cherry and Orange. He also drinks Diet Mug Rootbeer and Diet Coke (bottled only, no cans). I don't care for any of the sodas myself. We do a lot of Crystal Light, though, or plain ole water.
Boy, you learn something on these boards all the time. I never thought about the sodium content in diet soda. I drink LOTS of diet coke and diet cherry coke. Perhaps that's what's causing the bloating??? I try to stay away from the caffeine. I also drink a lot of water, but sometimes I crave the soda.
Thanks to all for the suggestions for other drinks that are sodium free!
It's not clear to me that the sodium in diet soda could be a cause of bloating since in order to consume it you have to be drinking a lot of liquid (the soda itself) at the same time.
