Diet Help?

I have to disagree with some people, losing weight may help some peoples confidence levels. It just makes them feel better. Everyone is different, some people may feel better, some people may feel the same. Also, everybody has different ways to lose weight, I've never had to before (I'm 5'2'' and weigh 90 lbs) but if someone says that something helped them lose weight, then it worked for them, it may not work for you. Just saying :]

Okay, all I'm saying is people shouldn't lose weight expecting their confidence levels to skyrocket. Being skinny won't fix your problems.

sexymickey, this is the third diet thread you've made, isn't it? Why don't you go back to the other threads? They have a lot of information in them.

:thumbsup2 yes ma'am!!!! that's what i try to tell everyone (especially my mom! she keeps getting upset that she's not losing weight, but it's because she's gaining muscle!!)

she's a trooper though! it's REALLY tough! so i'm happy for her!
now i just need to join :lmao:

LOL! Don't go for too long though, those places look vicious. I'm the stubborn one so I yell back, I don't like being rushed.

I'm not trying to argue with you here.. But, food's thermogenic effect doesn't change by person. It either slowed your metabolism, or didn't effect it at all, depending on how much of it you drank.

I'm not arguing with you at all. I worded it stupidly, does this work for you? I drank a lot of milk, which in turn helped me lose weight. In losing that weight, my metabolism sped up.

I see what you're saying, just because you loose some weight, doesn't mean you are going to be the most popularist person ever. Being skinny wont fix all problems, but it will fix some, if you are made fun of at school for being a littl over weight, it'll solve it, if you have some health issues due to your weight, it will help if you lose some weight.

And yeah, sexymickey, I remember you having a few other threads about dieting in Disney.

Okay, so did you take our advice from the other threads? How is your weightloss going?

I remember on the other threads you said you wanted to look good in a swimsuit at Disney. So, do you know it will be pretty cold in December and you most likely won't want to go swimming? I went the first week of December last year and was in jeans and a sweater everyday.

yh i did, i lost 8 pound and put 6 back on :(

where do uu live?!?!?

i live in england where it is freezing even in the summer rly!! lol. so to me i was to hot to move last yr!!!

Well, the temperature was about 40-60 degrees everyday, so I really don't think that's hot enough to swim. I mean, the pools are heated (even though I've heard they're cutting back on that) but when you get out you'll freeze!

When did you go in December last year? I was there the first week.

40-60 farenhieight? or celcius?

It's called personal experience for a reason. :goodvibes
But, I'll say that I'm currently eating healthier and trying to exercise. I was trying to get back to the weight I used to be, but I realize that isn't going to happen, and I'm trying to learn to be happy with the way I am. I still like to eat healthy though, because it makes me feel good.

I like your post. I think feeling healthy makes you feel better! And by that I don't mean it has the magical quality of making you more outgoing or able to talk to guys. It just makes you feel better.

I was only asking.......*rolls eyes

i am stating my opinion, by saying i feel better if i loose a little weight and get muscles, and especially after i exercise. it does make me more confident, and people ARE different in the way they feel. you cant really speak for everyone.
just my opinion.

You couldn't find the other threads you started? They should show up in your subscribed threads considering you started them. No need to make more threads on the same topic. :confused3

Being skinnier won't make you more comfortable with yourself. It only might help & make you say "Hey, I look good".

i would recommend healthy eating and exercise as opposed to dieting.

also, learn about different foods. for example, you can eat egg yolks, they contain good cholesterol and good fats. and make sure you keep eating fibre.

also, i agree with the point about losing weight not boosting your self-esteem. it can definately help, but real confidence should be about who you are as a person, not just how you look.
