If you can't say anything nice, shut your mouth?

I've been really trying to change and live by that little rule. I guess that's why I haven't been around much.

Seems like a lot of nastiness and meaness around here anymore by the same crowd of people coming down on others.

What's going on folks?

I think my mama really had it right. I've made some much needed apologies. My nasty opinion doesn't matter anyway. The only thing it does is make ME look bad. Not the person I'm coming down on.

Okay, back into the woodwork I go.

Yes, my mother always taught me that if you can't say something nice, then don't say anything at all.................... I think that's why I don't post as much here on the CB as a lot of others do...

My mom was more likely to cuss someone out if she didn't like what they said.
However, I do try to keep quiet when I don't like what someone has said. Not always successful, but I try.

It is too bad that more people can't live by that little motto, isn't it? That is why I stay home with my sisters and don't venture around the CB as much as I used too.

My mother taught me many things.

If you don't want people to know your business, don't tell them about it.

If you can't take the heat get out of the kitchen.

And, people in glass houses shouldn't throw stones.

I can go with the cliches but I'm not sure it would make a difference.

Oh, one other was, well maybe I shouldn't use that one.

Seems like you missed to tell me the first thing my mother didn't teach me.

Hunting her like a dog? If you visited any of these boards you couldn't miss her today or for that fact most days.

Obsessed with her? I pity her, but mostly her DH and DS, 10.5.

Live and let live? If you ask a question don't expect desired responses. If you happen to see many of the posts, people who were her allies ten days ago told her what they thought.

I find it funny when some hide behind their words and their aliases. I also find it funny that the "be nice" crowd are some of the nastiest people on the DIS since they don't have the intestinal fortitude to be direct.

you know, Mitch, most of us do try to be nice.

but sometimes... well, sometimes it's difficult. some people need a healthy dose of reality. it's easy to lose patience with people in some situations.
