Thanks to Dancing Bear...

After we eat at AKL we'll need to get back to ASMo.

After we eat at Beaches and Cream we'll need to get back to Coronado Springs.

Suggestions??

We needed to get back to All Star Sports after Chef Mickeys (Contemp). We were told to take the bus from Contemp to Downtown Disney and then take the bus from there to All Star Sports. OR take a monorail ride to see the other monorail resorts and take a bus from any of them. We took the monorail and got off at Grand Floridian and waited and waited and waited for a bus to come....it must of been at least half an hour. Then, we had to make two more stops at other resorts. We never had to wait that long at AS Sports for a bus. We thought we'd shop a little while downtown....but the bus ride put the kids to sleep and it was back "home" for us! It was the worst bus experience in our eight day trip.

If anyone has a better idea.....please let us know for next time.

The best idea costs about $10 or $11...it;s a taxi. And it's worth it!

I agree with demosthenes... Taxi! We did the bus thing a couple of different times and it is way too time consuming. Now we just have PS at parks we are at for the day or our own resort (we stay at a different resort each time to try something different).

Going from resort to resort is one of the more difficult tasks, transportation wise. If the parks are still open, you can take a bus to one of them and then grab a bus to your hotel from there. This is easier if you can picka park closest to your hotel. Epcot is always open to nine so I think the buses run an hour and a half after it's closing. You're still jumping from bus to bus but taking a bus to DD is a horrible experience, completely out of the way.

No help from AKL, but if the busses are still running to MGM (I think they run for at least an hour after MGM closes), you can walk or take a boat from the Boardwalk area to MGM and then take a bus directly to CSR.

Or, if you have parkhopper passes you have already used that day, you could enter Epcot at International Gateway before they close, then walk through to the front of Epcot and to a bus there. It's a bit of a hike, but you can make it a leisurely stroll.

I agree with the taxi idea. If you must take the bus, if it's a lunch at AKL, not a problem. Go to AK and take the bus from there. If it's dinner .... taxi or go the long route through Downtown Disney. As for Beaches and Creams, is the bus still working from Boardwalk to CSR? I had heard it might have been discontinued.

Best bet, I think in this case, is taxi.

We were in the same dilema last Oct. We were staying at the BWI and had reservations for Chef Mickey. I was concerned we would not make our PS in time if we tried the bus switching idea. The very nice CM at the BWI sugested taking a taxi. Let me tell you it was the best $12.00 I spent. We were able to sleep later, not having to allow an extra hour for bus service! Bell services simply called our room when the taxi was here. It was a very relaxing way to drive over to the CR.

On our upcoming trip we are staying at the CR but have an Illiminations Cruise. Again the dilema of how to get back to the CR after the parks are closed. No problem...we'll just walk into the YC and have them call a taxi for us. Trust me use the taxi and you'll not only save time but a lot of frustration as well.:D

I agree...a taxi was a lifesaver for us last January. We had a late (for us) dinner at Beaches and Cream and needed to get back to the Poly. We needed a van because there are 7 in our family - there was one waiting at the YC entrance. We were "home" in just minutes...well worth the few extra dollars:p !
