or am I more of an idiot than usual? I remember a siren that would sound off outside right as the train went through the gamma tube so people would look up and watch the launch.

It did in June when my ds and I rode it.

when i went in easter it was the first time me riding it .(i went on with my dad we love comics!)What i remember is that when your about to launch the computer goes like malfunction danger! and a siren would go off. i dont think they would take the siren out because it was realy cool and if so what reason could they have to take it out? so maybe when u went on the siren was broken or you just have a hearing problem! LOL just kidden.

I've ridden the Hulk more times than I can remember...and I dont remember a siren at take off. And as far as getting your attention, you can hear the thing revving up as it takes off, so to speak.

if you look at your hulk pics you posted in the UO picture thread yaytez, the grey speaker is still mounted at the mouth of the gamma tube. it's been a couple of years since I remember hearing it. either that, or my chemical experimentations in college are finally catching up with me.

Ya know, I've never noticed those, and had to go back and look at that series of pics....you're right, and my wife even knows what you're talking about and says yes they do have it...more a warning, a series of blaring beeps, then a siren....dang if I've ever heard it though. I guess I'll just have to pay more attention next time I go. Also, I'm looking for a picture opportunity....does anyone know if you can get a clear shot of the trains as they come underneath the bridge and through the fog?

I think it's more of a horn than a siren per say and you hear it right before the train is launched.

BTW...I rode it twice on Friday and I must say that it was flying..much faster than I remember it before.

it is more of a horn than a siren as I remember it. I haven't heard it used in a long time. at least I'm not crazy.
