Okay, It's been a really long time since I've been on and I thought all you wonderful people can help me out.

I've been reading alot about the DDP, but didn't see this one.

I'm a DVC member at the Boardwalk and we usually eat breakfast in the room, although we sometimes grab something at the Bakery, and I was wondering if the meal plan was something I should invest in.

We are going in Nov during Wine & Food Festival and IU was really planning to eat my way around the world. LOL

It would be me, DH, DS 16, DD 14.

I have made plans for the Brown Derby in MGM and know it uses 2 TS.

I am also planning on going out to Universal 1 day.

So, we are gong to be there from Sunday til Friday, and the way I look at things I'm SOOOOO confused.

I need help!!!!

Thanks:wave: :tinker:

The best thing to do is break down how you plan on eating. Do you plan on snacking around the world at the F&W booths? Last year, the booths accepted the snack credits.

Do you plan on having 5 TS meals? (Or 3 in addition to your BD ADR). What about hte CS credits? Will you be able to use 5 of them each? These are not good at the F&W booths.

Make a grid with each day of your vacation and each meal of the day (breakfast, lunch, and dinner). How do you plan on filling those meals? Breakfast in the room? Ok, fill that in.

Now, what about lunch? CS or TS? As you fill it in, you also have the basis for figuring out costs. Go to the DIS menus and figure out what you would normally eat. Do you like a 3 course meal for TS? If not, figure out what you would normally get. How does that price compare to the DDP price?

Or do you want to be able to go to the restaurants, order whatever you want and not think about it. That makes a difference in the planning too. Some folks just like the prepaid aspect of the DDP.

If the F&W festival will be making up 2 or more meals, I would not do the DDP. With your Universal day, you may not have time to use all the credits. Worse, you may feel the pressure of unused credits!

Hope that helps. It is so hard to decide what to do. I go back and forth on this frequently. The DDP just doesn't fit our vacation style. The DDE card works better for us.

Let me know what you decide. Happy planning!:cool1:
