I have a mile-long list of what to take to WDW. I'll be packing this time next week and wonder.....do I REALLY need all this ?? What items have you taken but never used ?? I'll definitely take my MisterFan, but think I'll leave the curling iron at home.

Didn't need moleskin the first 2 trips, but needed it the third. Needed medcine the first time but not 2nd or 3rd. Needed a bandaid the 2nd, but not 1st or 3rd.

Bring the curler!

I didnt need my Tylenol PM..was so tired I slept better in years on that trip!

I didnt need the tweezers I packed, or the nose hair clippers. :)

Who knew?

Didn't need the cold meds, books, extra shoes we brought. DID need to get MORE sweaters! It was a COLD December!

Didn't end up using our colapsable cooler.

Didn't need our ponchos for the last 2 trips but needed them in September 1998!

We didn't need the kids blanket the last trip in Dec 2001, but we sure needed in Dec 2000!!

Pretty much used everything else I packed...

Didn't need MOST of the clothes I packed! On every trip, I overpack. I don't even worry about it anymore, I just pack it all and then bring it all back home again!

Are we related? That is exactly what I would say. I always bring more clothes than I wear.

I suggest you bring:

1. Everything you know you will use (clothes, toiletries,...)
2. Everything you think you might use (poncho, extra film,...)
3. Everything you hope to not have to use (medicine, bandaids,...)

It is better to bring more stuff and carry it home than to be stuck without it when you really need it. It is a real pain in the neck to run around trying to find something in a city you are unframiliar with, in stores you don't know the layout of, and at costs that are 10x what they are at home. You will end up wasting time, energy, and money!

Find a hair style you can do without the curling iron. Pull your up or something. I wouldn't bring Mr. Fan. They take up too much space in my back-pack. Instead I'd use a wash cloth carried inside a ziplock bag (much less bulky). Every now and then rinse the wash cloth in water and put it on your neck or face. The wash cloth could come in handy for other things too.

First couple of years, I took the curling iron and blow dryer, but not anymore. I don't even take makeup since I sweat it off in the first hour anyway. I do bring lots of hair ties and at least 2 pair of comfortable shoes.

I always bring too much clothes. Now I pack once, and then about a week later repack, and take out what I know I won't wear. I have also brought more shoes then I have worn (eg...flip flops, sandles and runners, and only wore the runners). I also like to bring cream to smother on my tired feet at night.

brought, didn't need............books, magazines and things like cards to pass the time. (we were too busy ooohing and aahhhing to concentrate)
brought, couldn't live without..........that infamous mister fan:rolleyes: and ponchos for every day it rained. (our trip was really hot followed by really wet)
didn't bring, would have loved to have brought.............pillows from home for the long tiring ride back home, ditto on the soothing foot lotion ahhhhh.

Went in June, and DID NOT need my Sunglasses, as it rained all 3 days! Brought the moleskin, just in case, and YES I needed it. One toe was giving me a hard time. Did not read the book/magazine I brought along. Or my Bathing Suit!

We didn't need all the extra food I brought for breakfasts and Snack. My family loves to eat out too much. We brought a lot of it back.
We didn't use the ponchos but then I will always bring that as it can rain quickly here FL at any time.
The Mister Fan is a definite. My girls loved them when we went at the end of last April. It was HOT. Still trying to decide if we need them for our trip at the beginning of Feb. will likely bring them as we are driving down.

As for the clothes  as my dh says I always bring too much. With three little ones I bring at least three outfits a day for them and bathing suits with robes , plus sandals, sneakers, flip flops (they were the cutest ones too - pink with the princesses on them).. plus two each for dh and I. Many of them didn't even get worn. My dh just  and lets it go. Loss cause

I'm the kind, I'd rather have it and not use it than need it and not have it

My first trip or two, I brought insect repellent along and didn't need it. Now I don't pack it, however I do have some sunscreen that is also insect repellent.

I've asked this before but never got an answer..what does it mean when someone puts a "U" for gender on their profile? Inquiring minds want to know! ;)
Thanks!!

perhaps unspecified?;)

Seriously, though. I never specified when I filled out my profile. The "U" came up as a default. So... who knows?:p

I see. Thanks for answering, it's been bugging me!
