So, I didn't get a FastPlus for the date I wanted. But we plan on going to Animal Kingdom during early morning entry. What will the wait time be if we go right to Avatar that morning and is it available during early entry?

It depends on where you are at in the line waiting for EMH. We did ride it once that way. We arrived at the park about 5 minutes before official opening for EMH and we waited 45-50 minutes to get on.

If you want to ride it with little wait at rope drop then it's suggested you arrive 60-90 minutes before park opening.

There are two rides in Pandora. Assume you're talking about Flight of Passage? If not, and you want NRJ, your experience will be much different.

On 7/23 we got to the park at about 7 for an 8am EMH opening. We were walked into Pandora at about 7:35 and had done both rides by 8:10 starting with FOP, of course. We were pretty near the front of the pack, but not right at the front.

We did FoP twice during EMH because we didn't get FP for it. We got there well before park opened and both waits were over an hour.

Yes, if you get to the park over an hour early, you should be able to be near the front of the pack and not wait too long. Also, keep checking as people shuffle their FastPasses and something could open up. It never hurts to check!

How do I check if I've already booked 3 Fastpasses for that day? The only way I can see to check is to give one up, and I don't want to do that,,,

You can go in and modify an existing FP. If you want a FOP FP and have Navi already selected you will need to modify the Navi FP.

I arrived at 7:15 ish for an 8 am opening and while the FOP linewent to 45 minites almost immediately, I rode Navi three times in a row (once without getting off).

I had lots of time to kill before my 9:30 am FOP. Which, by the way OP, started as an 11 am and I edged it up gradually by checking for earlier and earlier availability.

You can just attempt to change one. It will not go through until you make your final selection. If you don't see what you want, just back out or cancel. The change will not be made until you make your final choice of the new FP+ experience, so there is no risk. You do need to change an experience of the appropriate tier.

With FoP lines so long, I completely understand getting to the parks an hour early and going straight to the ride. However, if you are monitoring MDE and it looks like the lines go down at a particular time, such as close to closing, you could try that. I am a night owl. It's hard for me to get up and stand around for an hour waiting for the parks open. I would rather spend that hour sleeping in and feel well rested. Now, if that hour turns into 90 minutes or more, or if I have to stand in the hot sun, then I will get myself up.

The lines for FOP are just crazy. Last Christmas we did rope drop at AK but not to do FOP. The line at rope drop just got longer and longer so that the lady holding the sign for "FOP line starts here" was in constant motion moving back toward park entrance. It really was funny since I wasn't wanting to ride. Lines get to over 3 hours. Crazy to me.

I personally think getting to a park an hour+ to wait for it to open to avoid a wait later is silly. Wait in line to not wait in line.

I guess, but it's also true that right now everyone goes toward Pandora at park opening, leaving the rest of the park relatively uncrowded during the first couple of hours. If you don't have an FOP fastpass and want to ride, knocking it out within the first 30 minutes of opening will leave you free to explore the rest of the park and get more rides in instead of spending the first two hours the park is open in line for one ride.

My friend went the third week in June. They rope dropped FoP and loved it. They were able to get same day FP for late afternoon. She told me we would want to ride this more than once, so I am looking forward to it and will do my best to make rope drop (we do have a FoP FP for 11AM).

Awhile back people were posting about a mad rush at rope drop and having others run or having a large number of people cut in line. Someone stated they were temporarily separated from family members, including a child. I am hoping this has stopped and that was just a bad morning. It was suggested to try and go in the evening before closing. I would love to hear from someone who has been to rope drop or in the evening in the past few weeks--I would be more likely to get up early if I did not have to worry about someone knocking my kid down or group line-cutters.

I think it's to avoid wasting park hours...
I really DO mean to get up and go to rope drop. In the past six trips, we only went twice to rope drop. We did stay for EMH. I have to admit, rope drop, accompanied by a large coffee, was just awesome. We shall see what happens in a few weeks...
