Yes. I am a child of the 70's/80's and my mom worked. She was a nurse and she went to school for part of that time, getting her BS and then MS. She worked PM shift for awhile, so I had the not so common experience of my dad being more of the dinner chef, laundry doer, homework helper while I was in grade schoo. It worked for our family!
Now I, on the other hand, stay at home with my kids. I was an only, but I have 3 kids and just want to be the SAHM, even though I have my bachelor's degree. It works for our family.
