Did your child wet his/her pants?

Recently, my youngest couldn't hold it until we reached a restroom and he peed his pants. We needed to purchase some pants, shorts or sweatpants in Disneyland. Not many of the gift shops stock pants. However, we were able to find sweatpants in The Emporium (Disneyland California). They also had shorts available. And underwear!

Hope this helps anyone who finds themselves in the same predicament.

Good to know! I don't think I've ever noticed pants before in the gift shops, but then, we fortunately haven't needed them yet.

DD was in need of some fresh pants a couple years ago ~ we purchased them *gray sweat pants* and the Winnie the Pooh shop near the exit for Splash *DLR* I wonder where they ended up ~ probably my nephews closet.

We had a similar issue last January, we had to buy something for DS to wear. The only thing we could find for him was a pair of pj's in Disney Studios. (its easier to have to dress a girl who could just wear a dress!

Good to know about DL, we will be back there Dec 2012. Hopefully not in need of buying clothes.

I always pack a full set of extra clothes for each of them in the diaper bag whenever we go out and WDW is no exception. Do I use them a lot? No. But when I do, they are priceless! In January, my DH took me out to dinner for my birthday and friends watched the boys. My DS (4.5) went in to use the restroom and I think he just couldn't get his pant undone but was too embarrassed to ask for help and he wet his pants. My friend checked the diaper bag (we also have a 2 year old) just in case and was relieved to find both extra undies and pants because she has girls! She told me that she was surprised to see that I had packed them since he's definately past accidents but I guess I'm just overprepared and it pays off sometimes. I can't imagine the fit they might have had on their hands had they tried to get him to wear girl undies or clothing because he is all boy!

Our first trip DD3 had the runs at Akershus. Thanks to the pregnant lady who let us in front of her in the bathroom line we got by without too much mess, but we tossed some Aurora panties in the trash. Fortunately we had a spare pair in the backpack and she was wearing a dress! I took her out to the stroller to slip the spare pair under her dress but she decided to help and hiked her dress up above her waist.

I did see underwear at the gift shops near the lake in Epcot, between FW and WS.

I am the same way. My son usually got the back of his pants wet when he was younger. When I took him into the ladies room, I did not allow him to stand. His aim took a year or so to master. He would have to go so badly (since he always waited until the last minute) that he would forget to hold his ***** down. I had to change his pants more from the back getting wet than actually peeing his pants. Today, he is four, and I still carry extra clothes. We rarely need them anymore, but I feel more comfortable having them. I actually needed them about two months ago when he spilled his drink all over himself. When I went to use them, I noticed they were size three and thus too small.

The only time I ever needed extras was when my ds was 5 and had to poop. I sent dh off with him to find a restroom (we were in Toon Town Far). If I had taken him, he would have made it; instead we needed underwear. I looked all over the gift shop and then asked a CM - she took me right to them. She offered a bag for the soiled ones but I declined and just threw them away. She said it happens all the time - even with bigger kids. They are too busy to take a break. Since then, we stop at every restroom and everyone has to atleast try.

Oh, you all are making me so glad I am past that stage with the boys.

We used to go to DL at least once a month when we lived in SoCal. I learned the hard way to carry extra undies and shorts in the bag. Once we had nothing with us and I refused to pay DIsney prices for replacements, so we just headed home that day.

Dawn

When my youngest ds was three, we religiously brought along an extra set of underwear and shorts in a baggie in the stroller. On one of our last mornings, we left in a big hurry in the morning, and, of course, I forgot the spare clothes. And yes...that was the day we needed them! I was so relieved when we hit the first gift shop, right outside of AK, and found pants and underwear!! It was an expensive mistake, but luckily we got a lot of use out of everything.
