In a couple of weeks we will be back at WDW (wee-hee, can't wait!) and we will be trying the Mary Poppins/Alice breakfast buffet at the Grand Floridian. Did you like it? Why? How is the character interaction? Food quality?
Thanks for your opinion!

It's our fave, but MP is my very favorite Disney character and the MP at this breakfast has been practically perfect in everyway each time we went.

Alice and the Mad Hatter are usually a hoot, too.

I like the buffet, it's always been fresh and we've never had to stand in line for it. Maybe because we get the latest reservation available to make it brunch instead? The strawberry soup is unique and tasty!

Last time, we saw the characters a couple of times and had plenty of time to get pictures made, which is nice.

I have never been to the breakfast but we made ADRS for Feb 3. I am excited as I have heard many good things about this breakfast.

We have had late breakfast on xmas day for the past 2 years and really loved it. We are 2 adults and DS teenager. characters also include Mad Hatter, Pooh, Tigger, Alice and they are great! Food is above the norm with the make own omelletes and many healthy choices along with the usual breakfast fare. We love it.

Excellent breakfast. The food selection is much more extensive than you'll find at other buffets. Omlettes to order, lobster eggs benedict, the strawberry soup.....among other unique items. The character interaction is wonderful as well, as the 'face' characters are really fun to converse with. Yes, it's nice to get the cuddly picture with Pooh, but it's much more fun to clown around with the Mad Hatter and carry on a conversation with Mary or Alice. This is a must do for us on every trip. The dinner too.

OOh...I am so excited for this one!! I have never been, and I just made an ADR for this on our upcoming summer trip. My DD was against it at first, she doesn't like Mary Poppins, but I convinced her when I told her Alice would be there too, we love Alice in Wonderland! Can't wait till June!!!!:thumbsup2

We really enjoyed our breakfast there this past June 07. We had an ADR for 8:30 am and MP was in the foyer greeting everyone and the kids (my DS 5 & DN 6) went crazy especially my niece.

The food was good although the kids hardly touched any of it or wanted to leave the table because they thought they would miss someone.

The characters were attentive and came around more than once and my DS was so impressed with the Mad Hatter that he wanted to ride the "Mad Tea Party" first in MK to look for MH.

I think you will have fun!!

I voted that it was average. When I ate there the characters were great, and the food was good, (though I prefer the food at CP,) but my server was horrible.

DSs favorite character is Mary Poppins and I think he had a great time interacting with the characters, but it seemed rather rushed - they would stop at the table, say hello, let us snap a quick picture and then move on fairly quickly (I understand the restaurant was full and they had lots of kids to see). The 1900 Park Fare was CHAOTIC, we enjoyed it the least of all the table service restaurants we went to. Food was good, but not great. DH and I just couldn't relax and enjoy this meal...too noisy, too chaotic.

We absolutely love it. IMHO it has the best character breakfast buffet on site. Crystal Palace is just average in comparison. The food is to die for, especially the cinnamon buns and strawberry soup. For us it is a must every time.

1900 Park Faie breakfast - we like to eat there after an early entry MK morning. We make a 10:30 AM ADR and the food is always fresh. Go to the Chef at the small area to the front side of the buffet. He/She will make the best omelt (made to order) :goodvibes

Thank you for all the input. I am definitely starting to get excited about this ADR! Keep those opinions coming!

We went this past December and it was just okay (we're an adult-only party who loves character meals). The place is very chaotic and very, VERY loud. The characters were nice but a little rushed, for some reason they all came to our table at the same time. We're glad we did it once, but don't plan on doing it again. Mary Poppins was great though!

The food was great and so were the characters. The Mad Hatter was a little late coming around, but he sat down at our table, apologized in a mad hatter sort of way :lmao: and spent several minutes with us.

A++++++

We had a wonderul breakfast there Sept. 06. It was our last day there (no park that day) and it was my DD's 7th birthday. We had later ADRs (about 10:30) and the room was almost empty when we got there. By the time we left there was only one other party in the room. The food was good, they replenished it until the last guest left and the characters were great! They stayed out the entire time (except for short breaks) and made the rounds many times. My DD enjoy most her time cutting up with The Mad Hatter and Alice. Also, when we were done, we spent 5-10 min. in the lobby with MP, Alice, and MH. It was a special time, and we could have stayed longer if we wanted. I really like to have late breakfast when we dine with characters. Last year (9-07) we ate at 'Ohana (PF was closed) and again we had a wonderful time. Our ADR was 11 a.m. and we had all the character interaction we could stand!

Here's a few pix from Park Fare

This is Mad Hatter blocking DD's face. He said a birthday isn't so special-not like an Unbirthday-he cracked her up!

This is my DH favorite, and my now adult sons always loved it too! Alice flirted with DS2, and when we have gone adult only, we are always treated well. Love the cheese blintzes, think this is one of the best breakfast buffets. My DH asked for whipped cream for his waffles, and the server brought him out a plate piled high with whipped cream, and didn't say a word! Too funny!

Loved it! Great food, great character interaction!

Thank you everyone! This is our last day ADR, and now I am so excited, I can't wait to go. Mary Poppins is one of DD's favorites, but she can be a bit shy sometimes. I have a feeling she is going to clam up around the characters like last trip. No one else talks to the characters but me in our party, I look kind of silly but DD likes to see the interaction, just not always BE part of it! DS2 likes them far away, but up close is a different thing. Unless it's a princess, and then he puts on all his moves! He loves him a princess! Alice won't have a chance!
