Did you like Garden Grill?

We have a hard time...three of our very favorite TS meals are located in Epcot. Garden Grill is one of the three (the other two are Le Cellier (for the food) and Coral Reef (for the atmosphere)). At Garden Grill I think you get a good fresh meal. You get wonderful character interaction and you also have the cool rotating past parts of the Living with the Land ride. The Garden Grill gets two thumbs WAY up from us!!:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

I'm so glad to see that most of the replies were favorable! I'll be there on Saturday and just booked this for our lunch.

My youngest DD and her family are moving to Orlando. Her husband is moving in this weekend. She will not be moving till the beginning of June. Hopefully, she will have found a job in Orlando by that time. She could work at Disney, but with the crazy hours it would be hard to find daycare for the baby.

Anyway, I'll be visiting every month for a long weekend and hope to visit one park each time we go!!! Already planning on MGM in June.

we ate lunch at the GG in March (DH and I, our 3 and 6 year olds) and everyone liked it. Of all the character meals, we had the most interaction here. Each character came around multiple times. My kids loved that the platform rotated and that you could look down into the Land ride. They also really enjoyed the decorate your own cupcakes for dessert. My DH and I also ordered the cupcakes since the adult dessert did not sound appealing.

Our family took DW there on her birthday several years ago and it was mediocre. We really are not big fans of "all on one plate" family style meals. Chip and Dale were great and the revolving restaurant is a novelty. The food presentation was just not for us.

We did lunch and were pleasantly surprised! The food was good (especially the catfish!), service was good, and the "show" was interesting. Just remember where you sat if you use the rest room:lmao: !

:thumbsup2 We ate there last Sept. my whole family liked it!
sorry OT: Hey, I just noticed this makes three Jersey people posting in a row! HI Jersey peeps!:)

We are going to book this for our CP pkg. We are doing the lunch since it is the most reasonbly priced.

What kind of restaurant is this? Is it a buffet that you get your own, or do they bring you plates? I have twins that just turned 11 and they will not eat the adult menu. I know I have to pay the adult price, but will they bring kid's food if ask?

Is it a character meal? I did see the menu, is this all of the choices?

Ugh, so hard to do this. I have one twin that at best will eat the PB&J and yogurt we bring him. I am essentially paying for a meal he will not eat.

Glad you asked about this. We are considering it ourselves.

We had dinner there in August and we all enjoyed it. The food was good, the waitress was outstanding and the character interaction was fun. It was our fist night in the world and we wanted to start with a character meal. This one fit the bill, the characters come to you but it is more private as you are in a booth. The food is also delivered to you so you never need to leave your seat.

We went this past OCt for our first time for a late dinner 8:00, we had a blast. Characters galore and many times they came around Chip and Dale were picking at our waiter etc Food was good. All ages had a great time. Here are a couple of pics:

My DS was looking forward to the Catfish
and was very disappointed whenever they
brought out Chicken Fried Catfish (heavy pepper)
instead of a normal frying batter it was the same
as thick Chicken fried Steak batter. Did not taste like
Catfish at all. :scared1:

All he would eat was the bread (very expensive bread). :sad2:

So Glad we are going for FREE DINING this year. :woohoo:

I think we are the only ones who didn't like the
food choices, but you may like the food so
why not try it!!!:thumbsup2

We went in December last year and really enjoyed it. We thought the food was tasty and fresh and the character interaction was the best we've had. Also, the fact the restaurant revolves around scenes from Living with the Land is a nice touch. Highly recommended

We ate there last November. The characters are great, probably the best anywhere, and I like the revolving thing. Thats all the positives I can give. The food was just OK. Nothing special that I would go back there soon to try again. The worst part was that I found this restaurant to be very dirty. I won't tell you why i sent my fork back.
