Did you kids "grow up" on the DIS?

Looking through an old photo album, I came across photos from the 2000 Philly meet. I saw my kids in these pictures and realized how much they have grown since then. I thought of all the things I had posted about them since I first found this place in 1999. My oldest was 9 at the time, the youngest 5. Now they are 14, 12 and 9. I have shared so many proud mom moments, asked more than my fair share of parenting advice, told some stories that I am sure they would kill me if they ever knew I told (and have even asked one or 2 to be removed before they got home from school!! ). Now that my oldest DD has been posting more frequently, I think I had better watch what I say!! She could turn the tables on ME!

Anyone else feel like their kids have grown up on these boards?

Of course. Y'all were there for my ds's tonsillectomy, emergency cauterization after surgery, his tubes removal, his broken arm, his underwear wearing on his head phase, etc. And also my dd's school achievements and her Mary Kate & Ashley phase, etc. My kids have inspired many, many fluff posts.

Yup! Pete was around 3 when the pic in my sig was taken. He is now 7-1/2 and I owe a lot of his progress to some wonderful advice I got here on the DIS.

I was pregnant w/Drew when I found the DIS, he's now 5 1/2.

Michael was 6 when I found the DIS and Orlando! He's 11 now and he honestly believes that he's RELATED to Dan Murphy (Grand Dad),WebmasterBarry (Big Brother), snoopy (cousin) and nativetxn, (Grand Mom)!!

I don't think he remembers life without them and thinks that EVERYONE knows about the DIS!

I feel like I've watched tons of kids growing up on the DIS. A longtime poster will post a pic of their kid/kids and I'm thinking "Hey, I thought they had a LITTLE girl/boy..." lol. And the babies...they are the worst! Someone will post all during their pregnancy and then we'll see a few pics of the baby when it's born and next thing I know we're seeing a pic of the little one walking!
I think my dd has grown up on the DIS too. I remember posting about when she first started dating (16) and how nervous I was about it and now she's a sophmore in college. Plus you guys really have provided a base of support for Ashli in some rough times. She received a lot of emails from DISers while Titus was deployed to Iraq and the support was something she really drew strength from. Things with Titus turned out badly as many of you will remember and your support during that time was incredible too. I guess I'm saying that not only has Ashli grown up while I've been a member of this board but that you all helped her get to this place in one piece. Thanks DIS.

When I found the DIS, my boys were only 7 and 8.

Now they are 13 and 14. Time has a way of slipping right on by, doesn't it.
