Did you Have a Honeymoon? Where and details...?

Handbag Lady - My story is very similar to yours.

DH moved from the Netherlands to the United States when we got married (so we could be together) and had his mom and some of his friends come over as well. After the wedding we spent time with them while they were still here and we would have felt guilty about going away when they traveled such a long way to be here.

For quite a few years after that we didn't go on any trips except road trips because we were low on funds as it took DH a while to find a job once he moved here and once he did we made a big move and I had to find a new job.

Our real 'honeymoon' trip was our first airplane trip together which was to san Diego. We went to the Wild Animal Park, Sea World, the San Diego Zoo, and drove around looking at the beautiful sites. It was a great trip!!! We consider it our honeymoon since it was our first flying trip together and we got to see so many special things.

We just celebrated our 8 year anniversary last week!

Ours was a weekend getaway in Baltimore. The original plan was WDW, but the funds were not there. Our honeymoon was way too short (it was great, it just seemed like it ended before it started) and DH promised me that we would go to WDW someday. Last May (4 years later) he made good on his promise and we had the time of our lives. :)

We honeymooned at WDW! We drove down and stayed for 10 days at Dixie Landings (now POR). We also went to Busch Gardens. It was a great trip.

We went to Disney World for 6 days. We stayed at Pop Century, Park Hopped (AK, MK and Epcot) on our second day, TL on our third day, DTD and dinner at HoB on day four, TL again on day five followed by dinner at Boma, and went home on day five.

It was too short but SO much fun. Wish I was still there! (This was a month ago :rotfl:)

Yes, 10 days in England and Scotland. It was the hottest week ever in England (100F the day we visited Buckingham Palace) and we both got horribly sick, but it was still great fun. I'll never forget going to this crystal factory outside Edinburgh and the guy who was cutting crystal asking why we were visiting. When we told him we were on honeymoon he seemed shocked that anyone would go on honeymoon to his little town and visit his factory. He made two extra glasses for us right there as a present.
