Did you get married on Luau Beach? Advice please...

Hi all,

Has anyone got married on Luau Beach? Or stayed at the Poly?

Is it a private beach or can anyone wander on to it?

I did not/am not getting married on Luau Beach, but I can tell you that it *is* public, as DF and I took some engagement pictures there. However, I am SURE Disney won't let people stumble onto your VR!

Yes the beach is very much public since it is located between two hotels. But, I'm sure if you did have your VR there Disney will make sure no one stumbles in and disrupts it.

Yes - it's public - BUT - the only other person we saw during the VR was a jogger who very quickly went by and only saw him/her out of the corner of my eye - since you are standing in the sand, facing the lake (not the walkway) - it really feels "private"....I think you'll be very happy with it....

We were actually married at Luau Beach last saturday! It is a public beach, but we only saw one person who was running by very quickly. It was beautiful and we wouldnt have chosen any other location. I will say this...we did have ducks at our cerenomy though..they were super cute in the pictures!

It's actually the opposite issue...because the max guests for the ceremony is 6 but our reception we have to pay for 10 to get our venue, we wondered if there would be anywhere for the others (if they decided to come) to view from. DTFW told me it was a private area and no one else could watch, but I always thought it was a public beach!

We didn't use Luau Beach but I have passed it many times since we love the walk between the GF and the Poly. Like the others said, it is public. However, my understanding is that DFTW is very strict about the guest count for a Memories wedding so I don't think they'd allow extra guests to watch your wedding from anywhere very close to the actual ceremony.
