Did you get anything Scrappy for Christmas?

Well, I definitely know it's the thought that counts and I am appreciative that she thought about me! I return lots of gifts if I know my kids or I won't get a lot of use out of them and I hope the people I buy for do the same

(I bought 6 nephews that 20Q game at Target, I taped a gift receipt to each one so they could exchange it easily if they wanted to. My aunt gave my 3 1/2 year old DD a bouncing Tigger for Christmas, that's going back!)

But, she does know that I am pretty loyal to CM, not that other lines aren't nice and great quality, it's just more my style. She has easy access to CM and/or my husband!

I'm just jealous because for almost everyone else she buys them exactly what they ask for....so I had my list made up in my mind waiting for her to ask...she didn't! (She bought my gift in the summer)

Oh well!! Next year I won't have my typical expectations!

Wow what a great gift you have coming. Let us know how you like it! My husband attempted to get me scrap stuff, he gave me 5 sheets of printed x-mas paper, three sheets of x-mas stickers, and a new light and chair for my scrapstation. I am so thrilled he actually got me some scrap stuff. It's like this year, he actually thought about what I needed and liked!

I got a scrapbooking Build-a-Bear from my boss! It's really cute! It is a regular bear, but she ordered this cute little apron that says something like Scrapbooking Bear on it. There are all kinds of stuffed scrapbooking tools in the pockets of the apron. He is holding a little scrapbook in one hand that says MemBearies and a stuffed camera in the other! It is just precious. She also put some miscellaneous scrapbook supplies in the box. Can you tell we are both scrapbookers?

I got the Scrapbooking Boyd's Bear resin figure I knew I wanted it when I saw it, I was so excited! My DH bought me a wire writing set, I kept complaining that although I liked the wire writinings (words written out with wire) you can buy already made for you, that they were too expensive. I was surprised, he actually went to my LSS by himself! His mom found at a thrift shop an 8.5x11 Disney/Mickey Christmas album kit that had never been used, it still had all its papers and stickers, all sealed in it. What a find!

This year I gave everyone in my family a 12x12 album with a couple of pages made .. some pages were all the same for each family member and there was 1 layout for each of them that was all about them. So, I guess they now know that I am into scrapping!

Heather your gifts of scrapbook layouts/albums sound so cool ! I would've loved a gift like that ! It also looks like everyone got some cool things for their hobbies.

Some of you asked abt the Wishblade- It looks like a laminating machine, but not as large ! I wasn't sure what to expect, but thought it was larger... It came to my husband's office on Tuesday -(he didn't want me to see it b4 Christmas). It was sent reg Fed ex (instead of faster, like he had wanted) & he has spent part of Fri morning chasing a Fed Ex truck, or rather trying to track it down....haha The company called him up, & apologized, refunded the extra ship charges & said I could pick out a free shapes disk! Wow The 'discs' are like memory cards you use in a digital camera. A free one was included & he also picked out 2 others for me Plus the freebie they are sending. That will keep me busy. ANYWAY I need my husband to help me set it up So I haven't tried it out yet...stay tuned )

I couldn't reply until now, as we just finished our extended Christmas with my family. I got a Michael's gift card from a girl friend and one from my DD, who is 9 (bless her little heart... she worked hard for the $$!). I got a new comfy office style chair to sit in (my old chair was literally falling apart!!) from my parents and a 5 drawer rolling cart thingie from my Brother and SIL... I liked it so much I bought another one just like it today! And my SIL also bought me a gift card for a scrapping store near my folks house.... when I went to redeem it over the w/e the sign in the window said they were GOING OUT OF BUSINESS!! Now what kind of a place sells you a gift card and then goes out of business three weeks later?? And, of course, the place was closed ALL WEEKEND, so now I have to make a special trip (2 hr ride) down there next weekend to use the card before they close up! I'm a bit peeved at them about this! If they had been honest/up front with my SIL when she went in to buy the card she may have opted to buy me an item or give me cash instead.

Anyhow... that is what I got... and I am very happy!.............P

We had that happen last year with a restaurant gift cert. A friend picked up the GC on 12/24 and they were closed already when we drove past on 1/5! I think that's awful!

Hopefully you can get more bargains this way...you should get something extra out of all this!

I got my scanner!!! I know I worte this in several other spots, but I'm sooo excited. Not so much about the scanner itself, but for the hundreds of family slides that I have for myself and can put on disks for my parents and brother.

For those of you who have kids that saved and got you gift cards, that is so great! You're obviously doing something really right as a parent!

Alice28 - You had to have gotten something scrappy for x-mas! You must have taken pictures of your dh home for the holidays, right? OK, so it's not a tool, but definitely scrappy

A new Nikon camera from DH (actually received that early when the big lens on my Pentax died)

Gift Certificate to my favorite store from my girlfriend (which I promptly redeemed on a more portable 12 x 12 Fiskar type cutter and took to CA with me)

A package of specialty papers from my SIL and access to a cropper hopper full of stuff that a friend had given her (she is not and claims she never will a scrapper) with instructions to "help myself to whatever I wanted".

I got a gift card to Archiver's as well as a membership in their "club" where you get 15% each purchase. I was excited and I'm so proud of myself for not spending it yet!!!! ROFL
