I made reservations for Pop Century online a few weeks ago. I did receive an email in return, saying they had gotten my request.

Should I have received something in the U S Mail, as well? I keep reading about people who received letters after they placed their reservations.

Is that just for phone-in orders???

Please tell me what you've gotten.

Thanks,

Trixie:wave2:

I always call in and never give them a deposit when I first call. I have them hold the reservation and then I always get a letter mailed to me with all the info and when the deposit is due.

I called in and got several letters. I usually use a travel agent and this was the first time I went directly to Disney. At first I was confused as to why I received so many confirmation letters, but then I figured it was just the computer sending them automatically. If I were you I'd give them a call to find out.

Just for your peace of mind.

There's another thread about this. I have not received confirmation letters for the last 2 trips I booked. I had always received them in the past. Many other people are experiencing the same thing. All I got was a little packet with maps and tips for the trip that said thanks for coming back to Disney. It had the resort name and month of travel, but no specifics.

I made reservations on line and could not retrieve it on the website and since I didnt get a confirmation in the mail I called to "doublecheck". After calling I did get 2 confirmations in the mail.

I made ressies back in May for a November trip. Never got a confirmation in the mail, (got the welcome packet, but nothing about my ressies, deposit, etc). I called in June to ask and they said it should have gone out... and requested another one be sent. Still no confirmation. Actually just called yesterday, and again they said it "should" have gone out, and would again request it be resent. I also requested they fax me a copy which they said they would... but I still haven't received that either...

In contrast, my Brother booked about a month after me (For the same dates... big family trip), and recieved his confirmation about a week later. He has since changed his ressie, and then within a week recieved the updated confirmation. I don't get it.

Trixiezzz,

I booked the vacation over the phone with CRO.
I received a confirmation number during that time.
If you've created a login at disneyworld.com, after you login, you can input your reservation number to verify the ressie.

I mad the reservation in March, and about a month later, I received a bill in the mail with details of what I booked. After that was paid, I received a final envelope which had luggage tags, our hotel vouchers, etc. That wasn't until probably 30 days before the trip though...

So if you aren't receiving anything... (i'd be nervous as well), I would first try to check my reservation online and if that does not work, I would call the CRO and ask for a supervisor and explain your situation calmly.

I made my ressies for my June trip on line. I got the email confirmation and never got anything in the mail. I had no problems when I arrived at the resort.

I'm in this same boat. Made ressies with the email offer for 1 night at AKL in Sept. We have a ressie # (made on the phone). Can't access it online, got a welcome packet, not letter yet. I'd better call.

I went through the no letter in mail with May trip. I finally got one after 4 phone calls.

I have had no problem with this trip and have gotten every single conf. letter for payments made, changes in codes etc.

I called in June and made ressies for Nov. I got a nice "Welcome Duffy Family" packet with info on the WL, but no actual confirmation with all the details. I did just call a week ago to let them know we never received a confirmation, and they sent it out the next day and we have received it.

What is in the welcome packet I booked the e-mail deal with CRO and have changed my ressies once and got confirmation letters extremley fast, but never got a welcome packet. Should I be expecting one we ill be at CBR and AKL.

I get confirmation letters every time I book over the phone. I booked a couple of months ago and got a letter a week later. I also get more confirmations whenever I call CRO to ask something about my booking. I have 8 confirmations right now on my upcoming trip. I would definitely call and get them to send you one.

The welcome packet is a little folder that welcomes you back to the resort. It also has a packing list in it and different events going on during your stay. It has a picture and some info on your resort and reminds you to make PSs. I get my welcome packets about 90 days before each trip.

skiwee1 Thanks for the info about the welcome packet! I hope I get one before my trip (it is 48 days away) that would be awesome to show my mother who is coming along and has never stayed on-site.

We made a reservation at AKL and never received a mailing. I called back two weeks later and changed our reservation to the Poly and never received a mailing. After another two weeks, I called back a third time and told the CR that we hadn't received any mailings. We got a mailing about 5 days later - not the yellow Disney envelope we expected but a new blue (and white) envelope. At least we now have something to go through the parking gates and hotel gates that show we should be there.

I made ressies a few months ago for next April through a travel agent and didn't receive anything. Is that typical? Does the travel agent end up sending you anything?
