Did you ever take a hotel towel?

I'm a good girl.

Nope. Not me.

:smooth:

And I can say this because I've never stayed in a Holiday Inn!

:teeth:

My parents got arrested on their honeymoon 'cause Dad stole
the towels. Mom-ya shoulda caught on then!!! lol
The year? 1950

wow he got arrested, thats a tuff hotel. I never still them because my suite case is to full to begin with

I once accidentally took a washcloth. It was mixed in with some wet bathing suits, but I left one of our pillowcases there, so it was a fair trade.

right  I accidently took a lamp once

Yep, DW's taken one or two in her day -- usually to wrap up her curling iron in when we're running late on the last morning of a trip.

No, not really. One time when I was on a dog show trip to California, I had a white dog towel that I had taken into the room to dry out. Housekeeping thought it was one of theirs and took it. I still needed a dog towel at the show, so I had to take one of thiers to replace it. LOL! I got the better deal! Mine was worn out, but theirs was nearly new!

Nope, never have. My brother stole a hospital towel once. Somehow it made it to my house.

No, no not me, or my DH.:smooth: My DD took a pillow once from a Sheraton Hotel in Orlando by Universal. It looked comfortable, but she gave it away to a friend of hers!  I have seen signs at check in at some hotels that towels "are counted everyday, and you WILL be charged on YOUR credit card if one is missing!" Also, they had another sign that said if you wanted to BUY a set, they were 19.99.......this was at Budget Inn of all places!

LOL, and WHY would anyone want one of those postage stamp size towels at a budget hotel???

About 18 years ago, dh and I stayed overnight at a Holiday Inn.
I caught him stuffing some towels into the suitcase.
I told him to get those out of there, but there was no stopping him.
A few weeks later, the credit card statement came, and we saw that he had been charged for those towels.

He never took another towel after that. :teeth:

Oh, and while at WDW in 2001, we stayed at the Contemporary.
Our housekeeper made the cutest washcloth animals.

I did bring one bunny home with me.
Upon our return, I promptly confessed my act of theft on the 'Just Say Thanks" board.:D

When we were in the Days Inn at Riddlecon they had a sign in the bathroom telling the charges if you wanted one of their paper thin towels as a souvenier.

No...but I was seriously considering taking the fancy schmancy bathrobe left by housekeeping in our last hotel room.

DH and I didn't have time for a 'real' vacation this year, so we decided we'd take a 'minivacation' (3 days) to San Antonio and go to Sea World. We stayed at the Marriot Riverwalk (which, duh, overlooks the famous Riverwalk and ROCKS btw) and somehow ended up getting upgraded from a regular room to a freaking suite that was bigger than our first apartment! It was chock filled with cool amenities like gold fixtures in the bathrom, six kinds of tea, coffee, TWO hair dryers  and this really nice white plushy bathrobe. AND slippers to match! DH was too nice (and too much a law abiding citizen..:) ) to let me steal anything other than the tea, which now resides with my other teas in the cabinet.

nope, never took a towel -
from Holiday Inn :smooth:

Oh, I'd like to share my story with them, but they want my address for gosh sakes!!! No way!! They'll come take me off to jail for sure if I give 'em that!!!

I did take a Holiday Inn hand towel back in '75. It was the first night of our honeymoon and I wanted a souvenir and those white towels with the words "Holiday Inn" printed in big green letters were just impossible to resist! :teeth: It has been in my cedar chest ever since, along with other wedding souvenirs, and the clothes our children came home from the hospital in, and my own blanket and stuffed animals from when I was a baby, etc....

We always bring extra pillows with us on vacation, and completely by accident, one of the hotel pillows got stuffed in the trunk.
However...... back when I was 18, I went to Atlanta and liked the budget hotel's bed spread so much, I took it and actually it is on my bed right now. It is one of those satin hotel ones with flowers. It is actually very durable and hasn't faded and it is 9 years old! They never charged me for it, but I would never do anything like that now!

I know I took a washcloth from a hotel years ago. I have a small travel iron that I bring with me. It can hold water for steam but it is hard to empty. On one trip it still had water in it and I was afraid it would leak all over my clothes. I wrapped it in a wash cloth.

On the other hand Swan/Dolphin almost stole one of my towels. My husband took one of out big bath sheets with him on a trip. He likes big towels after he showers. He hung it up over the bathroom door to dry and when we got back to the room -- it was gone!

I called housekeeping to tell them what happened, but I could not remember the exact color of the towel. (We have the sheets in a variety of colors.) We finally figured out what the problem was when we went down to the pool. The towels there were very close in color to my towel. I called housekeeping to give them a color update and they found my towel! It was very nice of them to look for it for me. :D
