Did you ever knew anyone who played Disney Princesses at Disneyland and/or Disney World?

What were they like?

What kind of girl tends to become a princess at a Disney theme park? Or as they say in their line of work "Become friends with" a Disney Princess.

Were they they artsy theater types?

Were they the popular cheerleader party girl types?

Would it even be possible to be a princess at a Disney theme park and be a popular party girl and/or high achieving college student at the same time?

These ones look like the people I would bump into at the local grocery store.

This one seems like the popular girl influencer type.

A friend’s daughter was a stepsister, she had done the college program. She was a really good dancer who competed a lot so had the confidence. She was sent home during covid.

A friend from HS was a friend of a princess (obviously after HS). She's an amazing actress (we did "You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown" together and knew each other through theatre).

I was a character attendant for a very brief period of time (hired early Feb 2020, had to leave when COVID-19 pandemic closed the parks in March). Have had several friends in WDWEnt for a longer time.

It's just like every other team/department at every other job on earth: Some character performers share a common thread in their background and aspirations in life (dance and theatre). Some of them just kind of fell into the job. But at the end of the day, they come from all different walks of life, there's all different kinds of personalities, and they're all just normal people with different interests, hobbies, personalities, and dreams :)

I've never known one personally or anything, but I will say that they do an amazing job. All of the face characters do - it's pretty amazing, particularly considering some of the guest behavior that they no doubt witness.

I've gotten to know DD's middle-aged neighbor and have found her to be unusually poised and charming -- just a delight to chat with. When I learned that she was a former Disneyland Snow White, I wasn't really surprised. A perfect, lovely Disney Princess.

Never known anyone in the performing arts who worked at Disney as a princess or other character. On the other hand I knew some who wore sandwich boards at odd times in their career

Never known one personally and the only one I know of is Ariana Madix from Vanderpump Rules.

I grew up in the Central Florida theater community, and I've known my fair share of people who were friends with princesses (and lots of other characters). The ones I know have strong theater and dance backgrounds and think of the job as a stepping stone to higher-level performing jobs (singers, dancers, or actors) at either the theme parks or the dinner theaters.

My friend who I used to work with worked at WDW. She was Alice , Chip and Dale. She has done local theatre and her son does theatre and has been on tv. But she is also a chemist like me and runs a lab for Lockheed.

Yes, one of my former theatre students played Snow White the year after her College program year. A very good actor and she looked just like her!

I golfed with a guy whose daughter first time of playing princess was that day. He said she was very excited and he seemed to be too. His brother owned a bunch of chain sports bars restaurants and he was manager of a reegion.
I think they were going to see her later in the day.
That's only one.
