Did you enjoy Coral Reef?

I, too, was a bit nervous after reading the DIS reviews, but I'm very glad I kept my recent ADR!

I had lunch there with DH on 8/21/07. It was great! We were seated next to the tank and enjoyed the sharks and sea turtles (Crush!). We didn't have any problems with little kids crowding us or anything, which is a problem I've read about on the DIS.

In terms of food, we both enjoyed the creamy lobster soup for an appetizer. I really enjoyed the catfish as an entree -- probably my favorite entree of the week (I the grits!). DH enjoyed his steak (not sure what cut of meat). We both loved the chocolate wave, and DH commented that it was better than the similar dessert he'd had the previous evening at Kona.

I can't remember our server, which means it wasn't a fantastic amazing server but also that we had absolutely no complaints about the service.

We ate there in May. It was fabulous. Even my 13 year old finicky daughter loved the food. I'm going to call tomorrow to make a reservation for our November trip.

Like I've said before, we've eaten there twice and enjoyed it. My only regret is that in the upteen years we've been going to Disney, we got stuck in a rut and kept eating at restaurants we come to know and enjoy. We never tried anything new. I am so glad we did and we regret not doing it sooner.

As the old saying goes, "You never know unless you try".

Had dinner there on our recent trip in August. The food was great, from appetizer, entree to the desserts. Our ds8 had a great time looking for all the fish in the tank ( they gave him a guide with all the creatures that live there ). They even had several sharks that kept swimming by !! The divers came by periodically to greet us and even played "rock-paper-scissors " with our ds8 !!! To us the noise level is typical of a disney ts restaurant. We will definitely eat there on our next trip !!!

We ate there a year ago. I am allergic to seafood and went for the kids. I had the best steak ever. They came with these awesome blue cheese potato au gratin. We really enjoyed it and can't wait to go back. Can you sit next to the tank with 5???
