So I am wondering..If you went to WDW last year during free dining ...Did we panic this much about about crowd size before we went ??? I went last September 9/17-9/23 with free dining and while PoP Century was a little crowded the parks were not. This year we are going 9/22-9/30 . I orginally chose these dates because when I booked the only MNSSHP during Sept. was on the 29th. This year I thinK I am much more nervous about crowd size and I cant remember if I felt that way last year too.??? If you went last year and are going again, are you more worried about the crowds this time???
Crowds or not it is a great deal and after all its a trip to Disney!! :Pinkbounc

Yes, I believe there were alot of anxious people last summer anticipating the crowds for September. We were at WDW for 11 days starting 9/24/05 and for the first 6/7 days, the parks were empty. They were a more crowded during the end of our trip, but not nearly as crowded as our past May trips. This year we are going for 9 days starting 9/30 and I expect it to be like the last part of our trip last year.

I actually like it when "CROWD PANIC" strikes the Disboards. 90% of the time things are not nearly as bad as predicted, so you are pleasantly surprised when you arrive and find that you have been worrying about nothing. "My brother's co-worker went the third week of October and was crushed to death waiting in line for a turkey leg..."

I also like how angry some people get when they read a post that predicts big crowds for their trip dates. I have read threads where an OP is ripped to shreds by people who don't like the fact that they are predicting crowded parks during their week!!

I went last year during free dining (9/29 - 10/5) and I wasn't expecting crowds because we normally vacationed around that time. It was super crowded on our MK days (don't remember which ones) and we were all really surprised. I don't recall ADRs being difficult to make, except for the Fantasmic meal.

It was also super HOT and that was unexpected.

We're going again for free dining (9/27 - 10/3) and hope it won't be as busy as before.

It's one of new favorite past times reading these "Crowd Panic" threads. My new favorite is when people are going to cancel thier whole WDW trip because the DDP is too stressful. Just to stir the pot, I heard ***** week is going extremely crowded, I mean Jeb Bush is going to call in the national guard.

My nephew's best friend's teacher got in line for Soarin' 2 weeks ago and is still waiting.

People are eating out of garbage cans in the World Showcase because free dining has completely overwhelmed supply and demand at WDW.

FEMA has set up trailer communities in the MGM Studios parking lot to ease tensions in the ToT standby line.

Looting has broken out on Main Street USA after Casey's Hot Dogs ran out of 'kraut.

The custodial staff is reporting people actually exploding from too much food on the DDP.

I just sold my 5 PM ADR for LeCellier on Ebay for $1000.

To prevent "sharing" on the DDP, all parties will be wieghed before and after the meal.

Next year, all free dinners must wear a big "FD" on their shirts, so all OP diners know who to glare at thier favorite TS.

My sister's cousin's friend said the line for EE was so long, Disney was giving out copies of "War and Peace".
